Have stayed here a few times last year and this is the second time this year. Was not at all exceptional, only plus is for the convenient location. Experience has always been bad (old rooms, staff not pleasant) but last stay has been the worst by far-Stayed for 4 nights, room was only cleaned once. When this was pointed out I was told I should have asked my room to be cleaned, when my companions didn't have to. Room has cockroaches, this was communicated twice to receptionists but not given action. Hot water in the shower immediately turns scalding hot, and for some reason also makes sink water and bidet water hot. Assistance was asked and instead of being courteous, staff explained, as if it was the most natural thing, that the shower knob (even when shower isn't running) also controls the sink and bidet water - which doesn't make sense at all. Not one of the staff has apologized when their attention was called to these things. Such horrible service for...
Read moreThis complex was built in 2008 and was one of the first of it's kind in Davao. These units are two bedroom, one bath and are small by American standards but are a little larger than some of the newer communities. Some of these units are furnished very well, look nice and have cable and wi-fi. The units have kitchens so in house cooking is available for those trying to save on eating expense. The complex has a tennis area and a large swimming pool. The complex is about a 5 minute walk across the street to SM City Mall. The mall has the usual shopping and also has a full service grocery store convenient for those groceries needed. There are taxi's available on the street and for those brave enough there are jeepneys and tricycles on the street also. The only drawback here as in most of Davao is the daily/regular brownouts that generally last 3-5 hours. The big hotels have generators. Bottled water is available by contacting the security guard...
Read moreI recently stayed at Ecoland Suites (Single bed -P1,100), and I have some mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient, being very close to SM City Davao mall. This makes it a great choice for shoppers and those looking for easy access to amenities.
However, there were some downsides to my stay. The room left a bit to be desired. The bed sheets didn't seem fresh, and the air conditioning struggled to provide a comfortable temperature. Additionally, be prepared for some mosquito bites during your stay, as these little pests can be a nuisance. Another downside was the lack of Wi-Fi and TV.
Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly option for a short stay and are not too particular about room quality, Ecoland Suites could...
