Lugang Cafe Davao — Restaurant in Davao City

Food was great, the service was beyond horrible. We’ve tried this place twice now. Both times the food was good, but the service unbelievably bad. First it took 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Then it was the wait for the food. On both trips we couldn’t seem to get our rice delivered. On the second trip it took asking for the rice three times and even being told we didn’t order any. I pointed to the bill, which was delivered before the food was served, a very strange occurrence that set me back, which clearly showed 2 steamed rice. Then the waiter left and again didn’t bring the rice. Finally on the third attempt where we changed the rice order to 1 because I had already finished my main course. My wife had yet to even get hers. Finally we gave up with my wife having only been served her vegetable. It had been over an hour waiting and we had things to get done. We found out the waiting for my wife’s main dish was cancelled by them because they delivered it to the wrong table. Nothing had been said to us, so we had waited that extra 30 minutes when they decided we were not going to get what we were waiting for. Seriously what type of restaurant decides not to serve a dish without saying so, or even makes a decision not to serve because they made a mistake without talking with the customer. We will never visit this place again. They need to completely replace the staff, there is no amount of training that could fix this horrible...

Bad, horrible service, plus the manager intimidates customers and really sounded mean. We mentioned we didnt order another veggie pork dumpling and he told us in a rude condescending way "ok we will review the CCTV" LIKE really??? Also service crew not attentive and to think they have a service charge youd expect a good service. We were there saturday it was very hot and humid. Lugang Cafe in SM City Davao is one of my go to places for lunch meeting because of its ambiance and delicious food.
