Outstanding hotel with jaw dropping sunsets views . Highly recommend this place especially for families The best place to stay in El Nido. The hotel is located a short 100 peso trike ride to the busy downtown. So it is in a quiet and peaceful location perfect for relaxing. Despite a rough start as we were originally assigned to a room across the road ( hotel has 3 bldgs) the GM stepped and re assigned us to a large family room right on the beachfront. Our room was huge with 3 queen beds which were comfy and plush. We had a AC, FAN,fridge, kettle, TV and wifi. Our ensuite bathroom was well stocked with amenities and had cold and hot water. We also had a private little veranda and beach loungers and a bar height table to chill outside the room in the well kept and lush gardens. We were steps away from the restaurant which serves a great buffet/plate breakfast, has a great lunch and dinner menu and excellent pizzas!. The star of the place is the infinity pool which is the best place to enjoy the jaw dropping sunsets. They really aren't kidding about the amazing sunset views . The GM Maria is a very kind, warm and sweet person. She has great tips and is very knowledgeable about the islands. Joelyn at the front desk helped us with all our questions regarding tours and transport schedules. All the staff is super friendly and always smiling and ever ready to assist. Overall the best place to stay in El Nido . It's spacious, clean and has great amenities. A few steps away down the road there's shops and tour kiosks or just ask the front desk and they'll organize a tour for you. We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night and wished we could stay more. Will definitely stay here again. Jorge and Jean , Joshua and Joanna( Mexico )

Totally overpriced hotel. We saw good photos on booking while reality was different. Low service quality and uncomfortable stay. There are a lot of issues starting from basic requirements. So, we decided to leave after 3 nights. We requested the refund for the rest 4 nights because hotel description didn’t match the reality. Unfortunately, they refused to fulfil the request. It was complicated to sleep. Noisy and inefficient so-called “window” air conditioning didn’t help to rid off moisture and sleep well. Juggling with air conditioning settings didn’t help. My personal advice, always stay in a hotel with “split” air conditioning. The main wifi point provides unstable and slow connection. After complaint, hotel management provided few backup access points that didn’t work in my room. Breakfast is quite poor and disappointing. I found only scrambled egg, salad and rice but everything else was uneatable. I didn’t like coffee, because it was very watery. Safe electric lock didn’t work so I had to use key. Hotel staff didn’t fix this as well. The beach is crowded with boats and there are a lot of locals who always trying to sell some stuff, which annoying. The good part was pool and bar. However, paying by card always required to use physical card and find the internet connection.

It’s a very nice place. It’s not really fancy and far from low budget. It’s perfect for me. The complete tile pool was wonderful with a infinity edge. Not too much chlorine and very well maintained. I had a beach/pool front room that was perfect for me. Great bed! Fridge and beautiful tile bathroom. Great shower too. The food was great and had good/fair prices. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. The view is to die for! Incredible sunsets daily. I lived in Maui for several years and Palawan/El Nido is much nicer, which says allot. I really enjoyed El Nido town and it’s atmosphere was charming. The staff couldn’t of been better. They were very friendly and competent. I was there for 3 nights and 4 days and my only regret was not booking for a longer stay. I did tour A island hopping and I had the time of my life! It was a vacation of a life time for me and the Double Gem made it possible. Thanks Double Gem!!!

This hotel is an absolute car crash but here are the pros to begin with.||||Pros: It’s perfectly positioned between El Nido town centre and Las Cabanas/Vanilla Beach meaning you are in the centre of all the best beaches / amenities without being nestled amongst the business of El Nido town centre. The pool and beach view is also delightful.||||Cons: The level of service is appalling. Eventually we managed to laugh it off but it was actually mind blowing how you would ask for things and they never get actioned. E.g they advertise boat tours at the desk however when we came back to check if it had been organised for us the girl at reception simply showed us it had been written in the book however it hadn’t been actioned or confirmed at all. Luckily we learned early on day 1 never to rely on the staff to implement anything however we’d have been heartbroken if we were only staying for 3 days and realised we had missed out on a boat tour due to the negligence of the hotel staff.||||WiFi…..what WiFi. Luckily we have chosen to embrace the break from social media however for a hotel at this price point working WiFi is a non negotiable…||||Showers, I hope you like them cold because the hot water rarely works, only at evening time after a day of sun due to hot water running off solar power. We’re all for renewable energy but again a hotel at this price point should have working hot water.||||Breakfast is disgusting. We chose to skip breakfast after the first day and have been getting breakfast elsewhere since. The selection is awful, everything is cold and the sausages quite frankly didn’t look fit for the stray dogs.||||Oh and one more gripe (I genuinely don’t leave reviews like this often) the staff can be really inattentive, they’re always nattering with each other whilst you’re patiently waiting at the desk and they never go out their way to give you information about the island, help to book excursions. Most people in hospitality in El Nido are lovely and to be fair the cleaning staff at the hotel are lovely but the receptionist team are really below par.||||To summarise, if you don’t mind having a break from the internet and you don’t mind a cold shower first thing and you’re happy to treat this hotel very much as a room and a base then great! However at this price you’re best off going elsewhere, I sincerely hope this hotel cleans...

3 stars?! No kidding!! We had booked this hotel for 2 nights, deceived by its location in front of the beach and with the expectation that it would be a simple but decent accommodation. We found ourselves in a dilapidated building, with a small room, poorly cleaned and on the edge of the road. But apart from this, the worst aspect was that at the check in (after having paid for the entire stay, since they requested the advance payment) we were informed by the reception that there was no hot water, since the hotel is powered by solar energy and in those days there had been few hours of sun. For us, hot water was a fundamental and essential requirement, otherwise we would have booked directly a 1-star hotel and saved money. From a 3-star hotel I do not expect luxury but at least a decent and essential situation. For this reason, we asked to stay only one night and asked for the refund for the second night, since we had not paid to take a cold shower and, in any case, we had not even been notified beforehand about this poor service. The reception told us to request the refund directly through booking. We did so immediately by explaining the whole situation, but weeks later the hotel very unfairly did not grant it to us, claiming that there was hot water in those days, which was absolutely not true, because this poor service had been communicated to us at the check in by the lady at the reception and, in any case, we had tried (in vain) to keep the taps open for almost an hour. To the misconduct and rudeness described above, I add the lack of professionalism of the staff, since the hotel is dirty and at the time of check in (it was almost dinner time), the reception could not find our room key. Also worthy of note is the breakfast room, pervaded by an unpleasant smell that makes you lose your appetite and by a sparse and truly uninviting buffet. For us, this hotel has been a nightmare. A word of advice, don’t be fooled by the location in front of the beach, but...
