The toilet in our room does not even have a toilet seat and cover. The lights were so dim that we had to use our phones’ flashlights to get better vision. The water had some discoloration and bad smell. On our first night, just immediately after we arrived, we were told that the cottage runs out of water most of time but the staff said that they have basins of water just in case. The next day at 8am there was no water and electricity. They just gave us a small basin which wasn't enough since we were two in the room. The staff then gave us another basin which looked like a trashcan. When we asked around regarding the water situation in El Nido, it appears that all the rest of the accommodation near Islandfront, at least about 3-5 hotels, have no problem with water interruption. We immediately cancelled our stay because of the terrible situation in the cottage. While the beach front may have been a nice view, the rooms themselves did not meet our expectations. The pictures posted in their Facebook are far different from the reality. They are misleading. It wasn’t really a good experience for us first...
Read moreIf you're looking for a fancy all comfort modern resort don't come here. You'll find low shower pressure and air conditioning not that cold. If you can give up on some comforts and adjust to local life just a little bit this is the place to be. The beachfront rooms have stunning views on Bacuit Archipelago, perfectly located to enjoy the sun setting right in between two islands and get its reflection on the sea (envied by most of the fanciest resorts on the same beach). The rooms are big and comfortable enough to store all your luggages and get a good sleep at night and the balcony is big. Their prices are are correct for what you get. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they can help you with any of your enquiries, from island hopping experience to simple laundry. We really enjoyed our stay and I really...
Read moreAt the end of the day the beach location makes this place acceptable, otherwise the rooms are a bit grotty and it's was noisy from having the restaurant kitchen right outside the window. One day we had no water, so no toilet and no shower. Prior to that the water we did have was brown, clearly contaminated with 'something'. Breakfast was nice. Being right on the beach is this place's saving grace, it's nice to walk out of your room straight on to the beach in the morning. They have four nice dogs which sort of get looked after, shame the same can't be said for the cats, they were in a right sorry state. Totally starving and in very poor condition. As usual in the Philippines we didn't get the...
