Corong Beach Resort — Hotel in El Nido

This will be the first of three reviews in the 3 resorts nearby.

Rooms: all are brand new and I'm guessing at least 1-2yrs of usage or renovated.. there are still ongoing construction on this resort..

Service: few staffs.. sometimes no one is around.. overall experience is good though

Location: its beach front but the rooms are not.. only 1 room is literally facing the beach

Water: this is the worst one.. the water smells and the pressure is very low (all resorts in the are have low pressure) but this resort has has a bad odor in the water

Food: very expensive compared to others and the corned beef is low quality.. i think they are using the cheapest corned beef on the market.. the other resort has better corned beef.. if you are staying here you can compare it to the other resort.. it's just literally next door

Drinks: expensive by twenty pesos compared next door

Room rate: expensive compared to the others.. they are charging almost double the amount of the nearby resorts.. nothing special all the same.. all have ac and hot shower..

Tour packages: same prices like every other resort

Summary: if your planning to stay here try to book for 1 night only then compare it to the others.. we stayed here during off season yet the rates looks like peak season.. luckily we reserved for one night and...

Was so happy that I was able to get a room here. Originally I was supposed to stay for 5 nights, however, only got to stay 3 as I got stuck in Coron because of the boats. However, those 3 nights were just about perfect. The rooms are modern and of good size with a slight view of the ocean (at least the room I was in). The view from the rooftop though is really great as it looks over Corong Corong Beach (see photo I added to the review).

The service was amazing and the owners were incredibly friendly and helped with whatever I needed and helped me rent a scooter and arrange laundry the one day as well.

Breakfasts were tasty and filling and being able to eat while right up against the beach at Corong Corong was perfect.

Location for me was perfect as I wanted to be slightly out of town and the hustle and bustle. However, you are close enough to town to get free pickup for tours and Trikes are cheap enough if you want to go into town. Also, from here you are just a very short scooter ride to Marimegmeg beach which is amazing for sunset. Additionally if you want a really tasty Burger, check out Thery's Burgers and Shakes which is just next door to the hotel.

I would definitely stay here again in future...

Just the right distance from town centre to avoid the constant crowds and noise but still have access. It is a beautiful place with very welcoming and helpful hosts. Armie is wonderful! The space is clean, well kept and is right at the beach. Breakfast, beverages and snacks are available here and a bunch of outside options are available in the vicinity as well.

The hosts helped us find cabs, bike and boat rentals and also shared insights on things to do in town.

The last 50 meters of getting here may be difficult if you have big suitcases- backpackers shouldn't have a problem.
