What to say about Franswa Inn? This is going to be long winded so bear with me. We stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed Nacpan beach and its surrounding areas. We met a lot of nice people and did some snorkeling and swimming and had a great time. If you are thinking about spending a few days in Nacpan beach, you'll have a great time regardless of where you choose to stay. The things we liked were the breakfast on the beach as well as the sunsets. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful. Franswa's resort has got a lot of potential, the architecture is nice and the place is going to have a lot of character once complete. Franswa has good taste, for example, the matress is good quality and comfy, the tile is nice, the bathroom fixtures are nice, toilets are high end and he's got good water heaters installed, but unfortunately, the whole resort is a long way away from being complete. The things we took issue with were the daily loud noises in the morning from the roosters and pigs from the neighbors next door starting around 3 or 4 am. We have also stayed other places in the Philippines like Siquijor where many accommodations are right next to a bunch of roosters and pigs, so we've dealt with the noises, but this was by far the loudest. There's also a lot of construction happening on a daily basis and lots of power fluctuations. Sometimes in the middle of the night, so no fan or ac hum to drown out the animal noise or keep you cool. To be fair, Franswa did appologize for the power problems and said he's in the market for a new larger generator so maybe then he can add ac units to all his rooms and maybe get better sound proofing windows?!? That would be great. Unfortunately for us, we didn't get a single good night's sleep for the entire time we stayed at the Franswa. Needless to say, I don't think I would stay here again, but if you decide to stay here I would pay a little extra to stay in the room above the lobby for the view, the ac, and the reduced farm animal noise.

we've been staying at Franswa Inn for one month. It's a good solution if you are on a budget, don't want to stay in a bungalow and you value location over comfort of the room. You'll be in front of the beach, next to one of the most beautiful and quietest beaches of the island. The staff is very kind. They'll clean your room anytime you want. There's laundry service and you can book tours from here, although we recommend to check other shops/resorts in the nearby, as they're usually cheaper. Don't have high expectations on the room: it's small and very basic, but we just needed a bed and the air conditioning so for us it was ok. The restaurant closes ealry (8:30 PM) and it's not the best one, but there's other nice restaurants on the beach that close later, just 5 min walking from the resort. Overall, the location was the top highlight. You'll have one of the best sunset views of the island. There's a nursery in front so you'll hear kids singing in the morning - which we enjoyed. The place is still under construction, but if get to the roof (despite it not being finished) you'll get an amazing view on the sea and the hills around you. Overall: recommended if you're on a budget and you value a quiet location, close to a pristine beach and with the most stunning sunsets you can watch.

Not as advertised! No windows, airless room with thick cement walls that feels like being in a jail cell. Nothing like the pictures! They say all the rooms are the same. The AC doesn't work well and electricity is linked to the key so you will always come back to a hot room that can't cool down fully. Construction is still ongoing despite them saying it's done. No water dispenser available. No front desk either, you go to the neighboring hotel reception but they can't help you with anything, they just give you the room key. Lots of mosquitoes and spiders in the room. A large swamp is just outside the rooms. So many mosquitoes and other things flying around the hallway - this is where it shows the outside tables. We arrived in El Nido, checked in, and went to bed. I woke up with bites all over my body. I've stayed at very, very cheap places in the El Nido (250 php a night) and they were much better than this.

This is by far the worst travel experience I have ever had and I did quite some travelling.||We booked a luxery room for 4 nights. The room was nice, clean and big, really big. It had a bed a table and 2 chairs. And that was litteraly it. We had to put everything on the ground, clothes, charging phones, etc because there was no infrastructure. The beach vieuw was overrated on the website and the property was basically a construction site. It rained inside the room at night. The wifi didnt work more than half of the time and at 23h30 they cut us off completely. Not what we expected for the end of our holiday but we could have lived with that.|| • It also appeared that the luxery room didn't have airco. Well it did but we had to pay extra for that. And here is where the problems started for us. We went to talk to the manager about it. Basically telling her that a luxury room should include airco. Turns out she was tired of travelig from Puerto Prinscessa to El Nido wich is about 6 hours and didn't really feel like hearing our concerns. Well we were tired to, we came from Bohol. We took a boat, a plane and rented a car from Puerto Prinscessa to get to El Nido... After having a fruitless conversation we came to the agreement that we were going to talk to the boss about it the next morning because he was not available at the moment(he actually was there the whole time we found out afterwards). ||Now it gets really interesting. We woke up and were told check out time was at 11h30. Strange because we booked for 4 nights. They just cancelled our 3 next nights directly through booking without telling us. Something we couldnt check because they turned off the wifi. They just kicked us out basically for a disagreement about the airco that could have been easilly fixed. The boss was apparently not happy we were not going to write a positive review about the place. While that was never our idea because we didn't even speak with the boss yet. Even so we live in a world of tripadvisor, booking, facebook, google... Thats what people do, write reviews, good or bad. If you can't handle that then don't go into the hotelbussiness. For me, I dont write reviews unless it's really good or exceptionally bad. In this case the latter. We asked for the boss again in the morning but he still was not available. Instead a french guy came to the rescue of this unexperienced manager. We asked if he was the boss but he sad no. Turns out after some asking around that he was actually mr Franswa, the boss, himself and didn't have the respect to have a decent conversation with us. ||There was nothing left for us to do than pack our bags and go because there was no room for any compromise.||Funny fact, we were not allowed off the property with our car before the boss himself checked our rooms personally for any damages. He litteraly turned the room inside out to see if we didn't destroy it. After seeing we left the room undamaged we could leave the property.|| ||Would I recommend this place? No! Not because of the accomodation or anything like that but just because of the lack of respect towards us as customers. We are all about finding solutions and compromisses when there is a problem. In this case this was just not possible and that is really sad. It could have been a perfect closure to our already wonderful holiday but sadly this is not how...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. We have stayed at all kinds of places and tend to stay at budget style accommodations. I will write an honest review but would NOT return until this property has major improvements.

The GOOD Communication with host was great! Manilyn also suggested a driver for us who would pick us up at airport. That worked out wonderfully and was a good price. Friendly hosts and staff 24 hours electricity. Cold AirCon.

The BAD No kitchen anywhere on site. While I don't always eat at where I am staying, it is nice to have the option. This place had no offering of lunch or dinner and I highly doubt breakfast was offered. No place to relax on property. A couple of randomly placed tables with uncomfortable chairs and most with no shade. No beach chairs or umbrellas on beach. Nearly totally unfinished property. Rooftop viewing will be beautiful only when finished, but it is not near being finished. At least 3 large buildings still being built. The main building with guest is still being built. Room 1, which I stayed, was outside of property fence down a narrow passage next to a swampy lagoon. No hot water kettle in room. Every morning at 7 or 8 I would have to walk over to front "office" to ask for hot water?? Why would they not just let us use the kettle? Location while nice on the quiet side of the beach had a major drawback. I will not try to enter a philosophical discussion on this topic but every-time we tried to enjoy the beach in front of property we were surrounded by children begging for money. They would not leave and would continue to ask, throw sand and grab our things. This does not seem to happen on Nacpan beach. This side of the beach seems to be more of a local fisherman's cove. While nice, it is quite annoying having to leave your hotel to find somewhere to enjoy the day.

Overall this place does seem to have great potential. It has a LONG way to go. They really should mention the construction and in all actuality should either not be accepting guests at this point or should drastically...
