Read my full review - who was the man that told us he is the owner? If then the manager, still horrible, sorry but he blamed the Philippines for his bad service and told us it is never like that. - just to be clear - yes you gave us the laundry back again, but still damaged not 100% good! It had stains on it that are still there that was shown to you as well - we are 5 people and guests that were on the ferry with us that heard and saw it all - my complaints about no wifi and bad food is valid because it is true - if I was wrong about that man being the owner I take that back, but that is what he made us believe. Whoever he is. The fact that you are coming at me and I see in all of your replies to reviews of people with real concerns and problems staying with you shows these are common and you would rather fight with real feedback than fix the problems. We PAID to be there and have the right to leave honest feedback so others are not mislead by false advertising. As I mentioned a good place to be for a night to sleep but not to stay at for longer. Unless you change a few things. Including the attitude you give to paying clients. We did complain about ALLL of the above while we were staying there so this is also not new news to you and of course I will inform people. I will not remove my comment. You should change your response.
I hate to leave a bad review because all in all it was a lovely place to stay in a beautiful location but the service was TERRIBLE. And the owner I believe the problem. I want to let you know my friend I am not from Europe I am from South Africa So I NEVER expected Europe in the Philippines, but for you to blame your lack of management and service on “this is not Europe this is the Philippines” is in bad taste. You live in their country as a foreigner and blame your bad service on them. Shame on you. Laundry came back destroyed and you blame it on them. No wifi in the room and you blame it on them. HORRIBLE breakfast and service and you blame it on them after YOU told us differently at check in. It is just something to note. I think you need to be clear on a few things so that guests are not mislead. Overall the staff were sweet and helpful and the rooms were great just to sleep and go on our tours from there. I would not recommend this place to anyone however. The food was really really horrible unfortunately as well. Seemed old and tasteless and very cheap. Everywhere else we went in the same area did not have the same issues as you made us believe is again, the Philippines fault. Not...
Read moreWe were very please with our stay in El Nido La Sirenne. Location was good, 10 mins into town on bike. The hotel is beachfront with many other bars just short walking distance which was great, one of the great bars with a pool was called Panorama. The staff were very nice and were there to answer all our questions. The hotel is multi storey (I think around 4 storeys) so just note that there is no elevator so will need to carry luggage up and down. The dining area was clean and well maintained, the view was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful, very picturesque the typical landscape that El Nido is famous for. The included breakfast was good, just simple but good enough to start your day, Filipino breakfast options and pancakes etc. there was a fridge with snacks and drinks (including alcohol) which was convenient. Staff at reception 24/7. Scooter rental at resort and just outside which was very convenient. Just note that to get to the main road it is a bit of a steep 1 minute walk on an incline. I will mention that for the same price we booked two rooms, one room had the older style inbuilt aircon to the wall while the other room had the modern style aircon. That was a major difference in rooms which was a little inconvenient (noise wise) but not the end of the world. The rooms are not that spacious so suitcases may need to be kept under the bed to save space. Our room had a balcony which is SUPER convenient for drying your clothes and towels after water activities and day tours. Bathroom was small but very clean (something that I appreciate within the philippines!), however I would recommend to the resort to put a little plastic table for additional space in the bathroom to put your toiletries as we did struggle to fit it in but we managed. We also booked our tours through the reception which was very convenient as it included hotel pickup and drop off. At some points the electricity switched off but only for a max 10 mins - this is to be expected due to the location, true island life at its finest! For the price of the hotel on the cheaper end, we were really...
Read moreUnfortunately our stay here was not great. If you have seen the show Fawlty Towers, you will understand what I mean.
We arrive and was greeted by our host, who was really lovely and friendly. We were given a smaller room to what we had originally booked, which was fine as there was only 2 of us. However the bathroom was smelly and at the back of the hotel so right next to the big hotel Lime resort. Not a problem until We were woken at 5.30am the next morning by the noise coming from the resort next door which left us exhausted. I went downstairs to reception at 6am( the only place to get decent WiFi) and witnessed a guest shouting at the reception staff as the owner had booked his cab later than asked so he was going to miss his flight. The language from this man’s mouth was shameful! Still, we later found out a few guests heard the commotion . Experiencing enough, I later asked reception if we could change rooms and the lady said the only room they had was a family room. I said that that was the original room we had paid for but she insisted it wasn’t and we would have to pay extra to move. After providing evidence we had paid for the family room( the only room available to book at the time of booking) we were shown the family room only to notice the smell from the drains in the bathroom were worse than the room we were actually in so we stayed in the smaller room. The next morning we were again woken at stupid o’clock in the early hours of the morning by Lime hotel. By this stage we were not feeling to well and we had had enough so we actually left a day early which we have never done in all our travelling. We booked this through AirB&B but the host never wrote a review for us so ours won’t show. Probably because they knew what we would say. Anyway, this is just our experience. I’m sure if you were to book a sea view room which is the other side of the Lime hotel it would be a lot quieter. Plus the sunsets at beachside...
