This is one of the worse hotels I have ever been to.
The hotel does provide toiletries and two bottles of water daily but make sure you ask or they will not bring you toiletries. There’s supposed to be slippers too but housekeeping did not bring me one
I asked to have my room cleaned two days in a row and I came back and it was never cleaned.
The first time, housekeeper put water in the room but did not clean it. He also did not put toiletries and the slippers
The second time, I even talked to the male cleaner. When I got back late afternoon, I had to talk to the receptionists and the guy was called giving excuses. I waited outside as they cleaned the room.
There were 3 nights the electricity went out late at night and came back around 3am. Idk if they were trying to save. The room was small and had a very tiny window with blocked view and next to the window ac.
There was a different condo building being built in front of the hotel fronting the street so the hotel entrance is not visible from the street. The hotel management did not even put a sign in front of the construction entrance that you have to go through the construction before the entrance. Our grab driver had to circle around twice before we decided to get off and ask around.
I really thought of moving to another hotel. Price wise i think I got what I paid for but the only thing that really threw me off was the...
Read moreWe recently visited Ferrymar Hotel and stay for 4 days in their Deluxe room for our vacation in Ilo-ilo.
The hotel is in the heart of Ilo-ilo city and is very accessible to the different districts in that place. Transportation can be through Taxi, grab car or local private vehicles.
During our check-in, we were greeted by accommodating hotel staff at the front desk. The lobby is spacious with a noticeable Maritime theme. There is also a piano where you can casually play.
The room [Deluxe] was spacious, and has 2 beds. It has Wifi, Flat screen TV, hot/cold shower, cabinets, and sidelamps. No refrigerator. There are complimentary water, coffee packs and toiletries. The room is clean and well maintained. No noticeable noises from adjacent rooms and surroundings. We do have some problems with our room keycards initially which was immediately addressed.
They have meal tickets for breakfast at their cafe (Sailor’s cafe) in the ground. You can already select your breakfast from their menu ahead of time. The food was good (I mean more than average) and well prepared.
The hotel staff were very accommodating to our needs. Housekeeping was not frequent (not daily) and we had to demand for our room to be cleaned.
Overall, the hotel is quite good place to stay. They have a Maritime theme. The prices are very affordable as well. I would highly recommend to others who will be visiting...
Read moreI’m not usually the type to leave negative feedback, but this experience was truly disappointing.
My brother was charged ₱1,000 for a small stain on a bed sheet, something that could’ve easily been cleaned at any laundromat for a fraction of the price. A total rip-off and the charge was unreasonable.
During checkout, we had to wait and stay until the ‘room inspection’ was finished. I’ve never experienced this at any other hotel, so I’m not sure if that’s even normal.
On our second day, the entire room started to smell like a rotten sewer. The odor was coming from the bathroom drainage. We didn’t get a chance to complain (a failure on our part) since we were out on tours all day and came back late, but the smell made it really hard to sleep comfortably.
The hotel is also undergoing major construction. The alley you have to pass through to reach the entrance feels unsafe, especially at night.
Loved Iloilo, but this place?...
