One Lourdes DORMITEL — Hotel in Iloilo City

Walking distance.||||2) Mode of transportation: Jeepney or Taxi if you do not know how to find the area especially if it's night time and raining.||||3) There is an elevator.||||4) Staff very courteous and accommodating.||||5) There is a guard in the entrance.||||6) They require you to pay in cash. ||||7) Budget Friendly||||||||CONS:||||1) The entrance is not properly illuminated.||||2) No wi fi connection in the room. Go to the lobby. It's free but since it's near the kitchen, expect the smell to be that of the food they are cooking.||||||Don't expect anything more than the basic (shampoo and soap) since it is a budget hotel. At first sight the room looked fine, although a bit dirty and small, but OK for the price. Soon we saw a cockroach in the room, and after an hour many more. An other couple just left before us, they told us they were already asleep but cockroaches were walking over them in the bed!! Ieuw! We had to clean all our bags etc. because some cockroaches were getting in the bags that were open in the room. Housekeeping came to the room with a spray and she was stamping on the cockroaches to kill them, so she thought. I explained that that's not the right way to deal with them, because they lay eggs and then many more to come.. She just laughed and said, no just stamp on them! I think they will never get rid of the cockroaches in this hotel.. We got our money back...

This dormitel is situated near a mall, a good landmark. Also located around the wet market area so there is foul smell in the vicinity. I came at 12 and the security assisted me with my key to the room. The room is spacious enough, the aircon is cold though there is crazy noise, and the bed is good. There is a cabinet, a tv, and a small fridge. The cr does not have a bidet, the heater looks old but it makes the water less cold. There is a small bath soap, shampoo, and tissues. This dormitel is good for travellers who just needs a place to sleep. Please note that the elevator is closed I think around 11pm and opened...
