The Worst Hotel Experience I've Ever Endured
This hotel completely failed on every front except airport transfers. While the price of ~2000 pesos seemed reasonable initially, the abysmal quality made it a complete waste of money - I wouldn't stay here again even if it were free.
Room Quality & Layout: The windowless "room" (more accurately, a cramped closet) was shockingly small - two adults couldn't move without collision. The only functional outlet was precariously mounted above the mini-fridge, completely inaccessible from the bed. The bathroom was poorly designed with an extremely low-mounted showerhead that made showering uncomfortable.
Noise Nightmare: Despite specifically requesting a quiet room at check-in, we were arranged to the basement level (my first underground hotel experience). While this eliminated street noise, the paper-thin walls amplified every footstep, suitcase roll, and neighbor's conversation until 3-4 AM. The lack of soundproofing made the basement feel like an echo chamber for human activity.
Hygiene & Maintenance Issues: Stained linens with suspicious grease marks immediately destroyed any sense of cleanliness. The visibly worn room suggested zero maintenance efforts - loose fixtures and accumulated grime in corners completed the depressing atmosphere.
Lone Positive: The airport shuttle operated punctually with courteous drivers, though this single virtue couldn't compensate for the hotel's overwhelming flaws.
Final Verdict: This property epitomizes "budget accommodation" at its worst. The minimal cost savings aren't worth the guaranteed sleep deprivation and discomfort. Travelers would fare better sleeping on airport benches than subjecting themselves to this sensory-overload...
Read moreThe hotel is very close to the Mactan Airport and it's decent enough. I was affected of the cancellation of flights due to a plane overshooting the runway which rendered the airport, inoperable. I called them so I can check in as early as 6am (my flight was 5am, I was at the airport at 4am when it got cancelled) and the staff advised me to book the room in Agoda (my choice of booking) and she will be able to give me a room available for early check-in. I was so desperate to take a snooze as I was not able to sleep the night before due to my anxiety.
There is a deposit of ₱500 and early check-in fee which is half the price for a one-night stay. I used the deposit to pay for it and just added more to the remainder of the price.
The room provided to me was very small but is good enough for its price. It's clean and has queen size bed. It is also very dark, but in all fairness, I got a comfortable and good sleep! There is a mini ref, the bathroom is also good with working hot and cold shower, which is important to me since the room gets cold, I need to bathe in warm water.
All the staff are very courteous and friendly. The only problem I had was the remote control. It will only work if you find the right spot close to the TV. You can't use it if you're far from the TV.
Other than that, I had a pleasant stay...
Read moreI stayed with my partner at Felicity Island for 2 days in January 2024. The rooms were small but clean. The free breakfast buffet was good and really added a great deal of value to the accommodation being that it was high quality and all you can eat. By far the most appealing and most impressive part of our experience was the gentleman that drove the shuttle when I arrived at the airport, his name is Efren. Besides patiently circling the airport for an hour as I went through customs, this guy helped my fiancé and I arrange transportation to Simala church and Magellan shrine through local cab companies. He helped negotiate the best price as well as options that were extremely efficient. Besides that he even was helping with breakfast service both mornings we dined at the hotel. He was just so amazing and helpful and I can’t thank him enough! Whatever that place is paying him isn’t enough! I’m a hospitality manager in the United States and wish I could get applicants with half of his work ethic and desire to serve. I specifically want to thank him for our amazing experience at Felicity...
