GV Hotel Lapulapu — Hotel in Lapu-Lapu

I booked two nights in this hotel. We arrived earlier from the airport at around 3AM of July 23rd. My booking was from July 23-25 (2 nights to be exact) and truth is on the 24th we will leave again for our next flight. When we arrived the receptionist did not even bother to ask our names or checked our booking in the system.He said we cant be allowed to go in yet as checking in time is from 7AM . Yes I understood that. It was the reason why I booked that hotel for two nights because we want to check in 3 hours earlier and check out early too.. but the man asked us to pay around 800-1275 pesos then we can be allowed to go inside.Arriving exhausted in cebu from a delayed flight plus we were very hungry at that time I was so disappointed in this hotel from the start. After 1 hour the man allowed us to get in whispering the instructions to us. It was strange. I checked the booking online he did not even changed the status there that we checked in already. His treatment changed when he learned we will leave the 1 night unoccupied as I showed him our flight.The hotel room was terrible. The floor tiles were dirty. The faucet in that room was even broken. The cabinet and the tables are dusty. The towels were no longer white. The floor rug is even dirty.This hotels location is good but the rest are terrible. Yesit is a budget hotel . I know that. But I have been to budget hotels before but they were nice clean and hotel staffs were great. I dont wanna go back...

I was just looking for a roof for a 5-hour stay in Lapu lapu so that i can catch the morning bus in south station. GV offered a nice twin bed for PHP 750. actually, that's already a steal so i bought it. ||||upon checking in, the building is still under construction so cement bags and wood and other construction materials are lying around. the 4th floor and the room is really dusty because of the work . i was okay with it as i just need shut eyes but the room itself drove the last nail on the coffin.||||the bed is too rickety. it's half wood, half-steel. it creaks at the slightest movement.||the pillow smelt like sweat. i just didnt use it. the pillow case is no help. ||the comfort room is decent but there's an opening above the CR door connecting the room while a glass pane is on the adjacent end of the CR wall where the vent should've been.||||aircondition works. ||||i didnt get any sleep at all. perhaps it's just my room but i'm not gonna...

GV Hotel is located in Opon, Lapu Lapu City. We decided to stay there since we had a 12 hour lay over. It would have been a waste of money to stay in the more expensive hotels.||I got the Standard Room for 750 pesos. It was a very basic room, airconditioned, TV. The bathroom is tiny. If you want a room with hot shower get the deluxe for 900.||The staff here are nice and efficient.||If you want to go to Downtown Cebu just go to the Ferry Terminal at the back of the Church. For just 14 pesos you will be at Downtown Cebu in 20 minutes.||Near the Hotel are rows of bbq sellers. I bought 4 sticks of chicken bbq for 30 pesos each. There are also lechon manok stalls. Infront of the hotel is jolibee. There are also supermarkets at the side and...
