We had a surprise bridal shower on the family room of the hotel. The room is huge. Good for 6 pax. It has a small fridge, water heater and a big bathroom. But the complimentary breakfast will only cater for 3. Everything went well, we had a blast, no one complained of our noise. Though we had a little problem on check out. They are insisting that we borrowed additional plates where in fact we use the ones that are in the room and we only had pizza and chips that night. They didn't even had a monitoring sheet to verify who and if our room number even made that request. We're not drunk and we clearly remember that we only request 2 buckets of ice, which we paid on the dot. They just asked us if we have borrowed the plates, because they are lacking in count. To cut the story short, We didn't want to make an argument, everyone has their own errands that day, we just asked them how much would it cost if we just pay the missing plate. It's just P50, no worries. But again, I hope they do monitor transactions.

We were given a room in the crap part of the hotel. The rooms were dirty looking and the bathroom door was so crap the lock was hard to unlock. I thought I was going to be locked in the bathroom. The staff were kind and the guards will help Carry your bags to your room. Unfortunately the room we were given wasn’t part of the nice side of the hotel. The room looked dirty, the paint was chipped on the bed boards and overall looked poorly kept. The beds were thankfully comfortable though. Sadly it was a bad experience overall. Though the staff, especially the guards were super friendly. If you stay here and are given the room A08 do NOT lock the bathroom door. You might get locked in.

This hotel is in an ideal location if you want to experience Old Albay. It's located near the Cathedral, Park, Government offices, schools, banks, convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants. The room and hotel building is just okay and nothing spectacular. Crew is nice and polite. Breakfast food is also ok. They also have a small car park that is conveniently accessible, just avoid the spot under the tree as it drops lots of sticky saps overnight specially when it's raining. There is also a supermarket across the street where you can but essentials as needed.

Ninong's Hotel's primary selling point is location. It is about five minutes drive from the airport, and is just a stone throw away from the Provincial Capitol and Legazpi City Hall. Not that it matters, but it is through this area that most public transportation passes through. Another major selling point of this hotel is that it sits right across a Robinson's Supermarket which is such a great convenience. It is also a block or two (small blocks actually) away from major outlets like McDonald's, Jollibee, Chowking, Yellow Cab, and Mercury Drug. If you also want to go to church, the Cathedral of San Gregorio Magno is right beside McDonald's.

In terms of service, reservation and reception can be coursed through major online booking facilities or directly via the hotel although they don't seem to accept credit card payment over the phone. I also haven't checked if they accept credit card over the counter.

The hotel offers complementary Airport Transfers. Yes, free. This is such a lifesaver for me who travelled alone to Albay for the first time via airplane.

I came to this place to attend a seminar but it was kinda weird when you go out of the elevator unto the 2nd floor since upon opening of the elevator door, you will see a blank wall in just about 2 or 3 feet. Going out uou will see on your left a dark narrow passageway, and to your right, a closed door (which was by the way was to correct direction to the seminar venue).

Food served was ok but jot outstanding but I am not sure if it was an in-house catering. Oh! For 2 days and a total of 6 servings, they served the same C2 solo drink! Maybe it ia the fault of the organizer but heck! They could have suggested variations.

WIFI is available but it is very slow. It might be because of the sheer number of attendees present in the room, about 30. Coverage is likewise spotty. My room, 305 has very weak to l o coverage at all.

Room is very decent and I had a full double to myself. Bed was a bit stiff to my liking and the linen and comforter was thinner that normal. Pillows are soft and fluffy but do not expect microfibre.

There are no minibars or anything. Only 2 bottles of mineral water to welcome you to the room.

Aircon is cold and good enough for the room.

Toilet has 2 soft but a bit thin face towels and 2 equally soft but a bit thin bath towels. It also has your standard cheap tooth brush and tooth paste kits, shampoo and conditioner (in sachets --- not worth keeping as remembrance), and miniture soaps.

And the most important information of all... it has a bidet and hot shower. No tubs though.

Rooms are accessed via key cards and there is an electronic display outside for the "do not disturb" and "make-up room" indicators, as well as for the door chime.

Alas, not all rooms have a view of the majestic Mayon Volcano. Apparently, even adjacent rooms (eg. 301 and 302) have different views.

Each room also comes with breakfast buffet stubs good for 2 pax. But do not expect a grand buffet like that of Vikings. During my visit, Day 1 served tinapa and an almost humba like adobo. You also have an option how your eggs will be served eggs. Desert options were kutsina, banana, and sliced oranges. Brewed Coffee and juices are also free-flowing. But don't expect much about the coffee, it is no where near your Batangas Barako and similar quality beans.

I guess that...

Don't even try to book on this hotel. The wedding that I attended finished 9pm. I am in need of a hotel since I don't want to drive late at night because I have poor vision. I browsed Google maps and found ninong's hotel, and I immediately booked online since the hotel name seems very familiar. When me and my girlfriend arrived the employees seems very nice and accommodating. I had no problem with the employees. But when we were going to the rooms the aisles smelled like animal pee, I just shoved it off and thought that maybe inside the room the pee smell wouldn't reach, but alas. The smell inside the room smells like animal pee and flood water as well and the room is very humid. I touched the blanket and it feels almost wet from the room humidity. We decided to transfer to another room but they said they have no available rooms other than the rooms on that floor (ground floor) which probably also smells like dog pee. We tried to get a refund but they said since we booked online we should request the refund online. We were so tired that day so We agreed and thought that we will just try to get the refund when we get inside another hotel. But when we try to refund online there is no refund or cancellation button. We tried to reach out their Facebook page and they said payment upon reservation is non refundable. 5 days before the reservation is allowed for refund and cancellation. So we can't refund because our booking is not in advance? The owner is greedy, what a shame. For those who say I'm just lying just try going and booking there and see and "smell"...
