Good food deserves a good review.
Although I have yet to experience the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine but this sets the standards for me. I remember when I was a child this restaurant is already "The" Krung Thai. While I have dined here numerous times, it is my first opportunity to provide a review.
Their Thai Chicken is heavenly good, same with the beef noodle soup, the simple fried rice is divine, and the spring rolls are delightful. We keep coming back for their mango sticky rice (a must try or shall I say a requirement!). Try also their variety of tom yum soups and the pad thai. I tried it before several times and it really hits gastronomical comfort.
The place is not that big but they are trying their best to make it cozy. Near the Marikina Public Dry Market Mall, it is easy to find and well known in the area.
There is a pay parking lot across the street near the resto, so it is not a problem where to park.
The price is very worthy for the taste and serving. For me this a go to place if you are craving for Thai food.
Savor. Review....
Read moreI recently dined at Balai Palmera, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. To begin with, I had to wait a staggering 1 hour and 15 minutes for my food to be served. And when it finally arrived, I was deeply disappointed.
I ordered the silog and binalot, but the food was utterly bland, lacking any real flavor. The rice wasn’t even fully cooked, and it felt like I was eating undercooked grains. The portion size for the ulam was laughably small, especially compared to the mountain of rice that came with it. It was a frustratingly unbalanced meal.
To make matters worse, the servers were far from courteous. They showed no sense of urgency, didn’t bother checking on us during the wait, and seemed indifferent to the poor quality of the food. Overall, the experience was one of the worst I’ve had in a restaurant. I definitely won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Read moreI come here to eat pad Thai and spring rolls since it is the closest to authentic Thai food you can find in this area. I would tell anyone who would listen about the great food that is served here. Last time I went was about 3years ago. I am sad to say today's meal was a total disappointment. The pad Thai was bland, the noodles that used to be chewy and al dente is now overcooked and mushy. It looked and tasted pale, even after I put peanuts and chili powder. The spring rolls had very little meat and glass noodle filling and more wrapper than anything else. I went at lunch ant there was only one wait staff for a place that seats about 20. It was full when I went and that poor girl was spinning around taking orders clearing tables, packing doggy bags, giving out checks and collecting payment. Krung Thai has lost it's magic for me, they shouldn't be considered authentic Thai anymore since the food flavors have become just regular...
