Great pares, friendly staff but had a few misses

Saw the vlog of Chef JP (owner of Sarsa) visit, so I got curious :)

Their beef pares didn't disappoint. Tender and saucy. A bit on the sweet side for me but enjoyed it a lot.

Super clean place overall (no suprises as it is in Marikina). There is self serve filtered water and trays generous with condiments.

Good location, in a quiet spot in Marikina, just a short stroll to the park and market. Al fresco dining. Staff were attentive and friendly. Didn't have to wait long for the food.

Gave 4 instead of 5 stars as the garlic rice was a bit hard/old and cold and their chicken mami was a bit bland (The ones they sell in the public market food area is better and cost half the price).

Parking available near the restaurant (near the park and city hall or...

Your staffs definitely has an attitude problem. Not just one but all. It could be understandable if your store is quite busy, but it is not. There are only 5 persons that are already eating. I am just about to make an order for take out, and all of your staffs are just passing by looking at my eyes and pretending to be busy. Is it just because I am wearing a typical delivery riders attire? FYI, I am an engineer who contributed to design and construct the world's largest diesel engine up to date. I am just on vacation and spending some of my time to be a part time delivery rider. Please give me an acceptable reason on why you treat you customers unfairly, based on how they looked. I will be very willing to...

Started enjoying their delightful filling cuisine when I started working here in Marikina in 2011. However, I observed that later on, things began to go south: the prices in the menu kept climbing (I think on a yearly basis?), the servers sometimes ignored customers who don't look 'sosyal', our to-go orders were usually incomplete/substandard, no remediations were made for these numerous misgivings, the taste of certain standard dishes varied-depending on the cook, they only put their best foot forward in the presence of vloggers/media persons with cameras -for...

On my third visit to this restaurant, I find myself returning for their excellent pares, surpassing other options nearby. The sweet and tasty flavor aligns with our personal preferences. The pricing is reasonable for the generous serving. Expect peak-hour busyness, especially during dinner, and parking might be a challenge; however, exploring around the city hall area can offer alternatives. They have other dishes as well like noodles, sizzling plates, and silog…. They accept cash only.

Our go-to pares place. Very consistent with their flavor and quick serving, you can never go wrong if you're craving for pares in the metro. They offer affordable meals and a classic diner feel. If you want to try other meals, give their lechon kawali a try, it is also really good. The place has also undergone some renovations so that's a plus. Definitely give it a try if you are in marikina.
