A very disappointing and underwhelming experience.
✖️ Not worth the price
I stayed in Villa Hasmin with friends which we booked for 6,000. Please see photos and you'd understand our disappointment. There is a stark difference between this room compared to the others, considering that the price was only adjusted based on the number of people it could accommodate. There's a reason why they don't post pictures of this villa in their FB profile. The green walls combined with yellow lights doesn't look very aesthetic at all.
The 'villa' is literally just by the gate, located even before you reach the hut where employees stay. It was very hard to sleep because we were exposed to the noise outside. For an accommodation named FARM VILLA, we expected a place that is at least quiet enough for a restful sleep or even a little isolated enough instead of a place where jeepneys and cars stop by to unload their stuff. Where you have nothing but a view of hollow blocks and not even a patch of greenery.
Also, the parking spot is directly situated at the outflow coming from the sink as their is no proper drainage.
✖️ False advertisement: WIFI
My husband and I work remotely and we very specifically chose this place because they very proudly indicated in their social media posts that they have Free WIFI. Incorrect, every other villas have access to the internet besides ours.
When my husband informed the owner she was very unapologetic about it. Take note that their piso wifi, installed beside our villa was discoverable in our devices but instead of letting us use that one they only offered for us to stay in another villa's balcony (already evening that time) to access the wifi that does not reach out room.I can't understand how she thinks that's an acceptable compromise.
✖️ Unpleasant demeanor
While most of the staff is cordial and hospitable, the owner's daughter was very much unpleasant. Upon early check in, we wished to see the beach right away but wasn't able to do so as a group because we had to leave someone behind to wait for the manager as she has the key to the villa. All of our stuff is already inside and the accommodation is literally just beside the open gate that's easily accessible to passersby.
The rest of the group already went and came back but she was still not able to come out to hand the key. When she arrived there was not even an apology for making someone wait that long. Certainly not the kind of demeanor we expected from somebody who seem to have no regard for other people's time.
✖️ Estero-like beachfront hut
This accommodation is not located by the shore. They also don't have a 'private' path towards the beach as they claim in their socmed posts. However, they have a hut by the beach that can accommodate at least 2 huge crowds of guests situated just a stone's throw away from something that closely resembles a garbage field estero. Certainly not the place you'd want to be eating from.
🤦 Charging this one to experience. Learned that it's better to spend good money for an actual restful break than be stingy and go home a lot more stressed than before you left.
If you still want to book this place I suggest,
✅ Don't book Villa Hasmin
✅ Don't expect too much from the place, including the beach. This is very much a residential beach side community and not a vacation spot for tourists
