Kokomo's Beach Resort — Hotel in Olongapo

Along the coast of Baloy beach you have multiple resorts to choose from and most of these have websites. So how do you find something that stands out?||||Enter Kokomos Beach Resort. ||Its main attraction point are the themed out rooms. Each rooms have different motifs ranging from jungle, Egyptian, Golf, Western, Music, love cove... well you get the idea.||There are 3 beach front rooms and the best one is the Egyptian themed. It has a queen size bed, A/C, drawer (with a safe), mini bar (its filled up with sodas and chocolates, if you plan to put your food in), cable tv (which is place so high that it is somewhat uncomfortable to watch), sofa by the window, tub, hot/cold shower, sink and toilet. Its completely deck out compare to the other rooms we checked. I would say that this resort is for couples totally. There is no room, only stairs (yup a 3 step stairs up to the wash area and 3 step stairs down to the shower area) dividing the bed and the tub or the shower, only the toilet. The shower is cleverly done as if you are in a cave like place. It has the ambient vibe to do something fun. And it has so many source of lights that range in brightness for those who wants it to be dim and peaceful.||The bar, restaurant is in front of the rooms though not certain if they serve anything since no one was around the whole time we stayed. There is spacious deck you can use to drink away while overlooking the sea. ||It is accessible to commuters. Very near the national highway, few minutes away from SBMA, lots of restaurant nearby. I stayed for 5 days in the Wild West beach front room. It was decorated with photographs and scenes from the Wild West. Very naff. The bed was like a covered wagon where one had to crawl in from one end, but it was comfortable. There was cushioned bench seating, a small table and a mini-bar. The shower and washing area is all part of the one room, so no privacy for washing. The bath was dirty had a big split down the middle. The water heater for the shower did not produce warm water. The toilet is in a small cubicle next to the wash area. However, the cubicle is so small that in using the toilet one cannot close the door, so one is on display to anyone else in the room. Disgusting. No curtain over the glass panels in the door, so wake up with daylight. Room cleaning and renewal of towels was only on request. My stay was over a weekend. For three days there was no water for washing or toilet because the hotel supply can't cope with many guests. I had to use facilities at Johans resort next door. The beach front room actually fronts onto a patio. Here there are tables used by guests for cooking and eating breakfast and dinner. There is no food provision so people bring stoves and BBQs. It gets very noisy. The bar, so called, is just a counter at one end of this patio. No advantage over using one's mini-bar. I would have moved but everywhere else was full while I was there. This resort should be taken off all online booking sites due to the following reasons:||1. Booked 2 deluxe rooms. We got one de luxe and 1 standard. Told us that there has been double booking. Like it was our fault!||2. Told us they wouls refund the difference between the price of the deluxe and the standard amounting to 300++. Upon double checking, we should be refunded Php800. They told us that it’s because they dont get paid the whole amount. We told the receptionist that it wasn’t our damn problem coz we paid in full. That’s between them and the booking site.||3. We called a few days before to confirm if the room have ref and hot and cold shower. Told us that there is a ref and hot and cold shower. We arrived and there is no ref in sight. Plus the shower doesn’t function well. We almost couldn’t rinse ourselves well because the water pressure was soooo low. ||4. The standard room looked better than the deluxe room! ||5. There wasnt any partition between the shower and the main room. Water was splattering everywhere. ||6. We werent given any towels when we arrived. We had to wait for some of the towels that they washed to dry.||There are a lot more that we could complain about this place but im already tired. Just steer away from this...
