Nickles Park Resort and Apartments — Hotel in Panglao

Rooms were good and spacious. A nice & quiet place to stay. Staff maybe shy and reserved but as long as you have the right energy & approach they can be accommodating. Its not the typical hotel & service accommodation experience. I can say in any hotel the more pricey the place is the more royalty experience a place can be, so set your expectations accordingly. Overall, its a simple and humble place were you can spend quiet stay in one of the affordable apartments hotel in Panglao. Considering its affordability, with right amount of expectations; this place was pleasantly enjoyable. Good - spacious rooms, clean place, have free wifi, can request gas for cooking, aircon, free breakfast, offers tour arrangements & services, car/motorcycle rentals, amenities, and quiet place to relax. Location wise a 5mins walk to the beach is not a problem. Needs improvement - more secure room door locks, cooking wares & food utensils specially for long stay, staff hotel & service training in dealing with guest & communications, possibly backup lights during power...

I've been to Bohol many times so, I don't mind trying this kind of accommodation. My friend booked this apartment for a reasonable price. Both the owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Apartment style, with kitchen, cooking and dining utensils - if willing to cook. The bed(double deck plus 2 extra bed) is comfortably enough. We had the family room that can accommodate up to 6 person. The resort has a pool which is good especially if you have a kid with you. Libaong public beach is 5 mins away(if you walk further you can reach the beachfront of Dumaluan beach, Bohol beach club and South palms resort). If you want to go to Alona beach it's 10-20 mins. away by car/tricycle. There's a mini-grocery store along the high-way and a small market. You may asked for their pick-up/drop-off service for a fee(600/one way). There is no restaurants nearby so it's best if you can stock up before checking in. The apartment is good for those who wish to stay longer than a week. It has a quiet and clean surroundings - mostly (friendly) locals...

Booked 2 deluxe room ms that were supposed to have a double bed, 2 singles and a sofa bed. However the single beds either had no mattress or a mattress so thin it would be impossible to sleep, and no linen provided. Only one room had a sofa bed. Their solution was that we should all share the double beds! No wifi in rooms, aircon only in the bedroom which had to be on full blast to reach the room with the other “beds”. Faulty fans. Kitchen had no amenities and one room had an ant infestation. No on-site restaurant, they will get food for you from the only local restaurant (which was terrible). Pool was dirty with lots of hair in it. The “resort” is far from everything and you’d need your own transport to get anywhere. We ended up not staying here it was so awful…they refused any refund despite not providing what they’d advertised. I did feel sorry for the woman at reception as she has three parties all...
