We recently spent seven wonderful nights at The Bellevue Resort. We booked a Junior Suite, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly and accommodating staff, who always greeted us warmly and were eager to assist with any requests.

The resort is quiet, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. However, we were a bit disappointed with the Junior Suite, as the room we stayed in looked different from the photos on the website. The couch in our room was not the same as the one shown in the pictures, and unfortunately, the one we had was a bit uncomfortable to sit on, which was a letdown. Aside from that, the suite was spacious and well-maintained, with a super comfortable bed.

There is one large swimming pool, which, while beautiful, has limited lounge chairs, though it never got too crowded. The beach is stunning, though during low tide, you’ll need to walk a bit further out to enjoy a proper swim. However, the clear waters and peaceful surroundings made up for it. We found a great lounge area on the right-hand side of the beach, where they have a pergola with a few lounge chairs. There are only three available, so it’s best to arrive early to secure one. This spot was quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. However, the chairs were frequently removed whenever there was an event like a wedding, and during our stay, there seemed to be something happening almost every day.

We arrived at the resort around 10:00 AM after an early flight and requested an early check-in(which I communicated beforehand), but our room wasn’t ready, which was understandable given the standard 3:00 PM check-in time. We were initially given hope that we might check in around 12:30 PM, but we ended up waiting until 2:30 PM. A little more communication about the delay would have been appreciated, but we used the time to explore the resort and relax.

We only dined at the resort’s restaurant once, so we can’t fully rate the food. However, the service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the live music which they have every night. The breakfast buffet was average, but we liked that we could order a freshly made omelet, ensuring we got it hot and cooked to our liking.

One night, around midnight, the water suddenly shut off while I was in the middle of washing my face. I called the front desk, and they initially said they would send maintenance. After waiting for a few minutes with no update, I called again and was then informed that the issue was affecting the entire resort. The water was restored within 20 minutes, but the staff’s response could have been better. A simple apology or update would have gone a long way instead of just confirming that the water was back and hanging up.

One of the biggest reliefs during our stay was the on-site doctor and nursing team. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from an outside restaurant on our third night, and I was incredibly grateful for the two wonderful nurses and the doctor who took care of me. They were attentive, compassionate, and reassuring, ensuring I received the proper medication and care. Their professionalism and kindness truly made a difference, and I can’t thank them enough. Please note that there is Php 2000 pesos for the consultationm

The housekeeping team was fantastic. Every evening, we returned to our room to find a thoughtful handwritten note and a small treat, which added such a lovely personal touch.

The resort provides a shuttle service to Alona Beach, but only during nighttime hours (around 8PM – 10 PM? I can't remember). It would have been more convenient if they offered a daytime shuttle as well, especially for those who prefer exploring earlier in the day. However, we love riding motorcycles, and rented one for just 400 pesos per day outside the resort was a fun and easy way to get around the island.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay at The Bellevue Resort. We would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable...

This hotel is far from 5 stars. I am honestly incredibly shocked that it has so many good reviews. But after reading through the 1 star ratings, you’ll quickly realize that they are scamming people into writing fake 5-star reviews.

I first knew about Bellevue years ago when they first opened and was looking forward to an opportunity to stay here on my next trip. My husband and I had high expectations, especially considering the price, but were both deeply disappointed with our stay. We arrived to an empty reception desk but found our way to the concierge. The ladies there were pleasant and helpful. No one offered to help with our bags, a sad oversight considering the hotel’s five star rating, but that was the least of our worries.

RUNDOWN & SMELLY ROOMS When we got to our room, there was an undeniably robust smell of mold. There was a ‘welcome note’ but it was addressed to a different person and everything about the room felt damp and run down. The floor mats in the bathroom were a dirty gray instead of white and waste bins were lined with old newspaper. The terrace had a table but we had to ask for chairs as there were none. We didn’t even get a chance to settle in because the smell of mold was so prominent, it was hard to breathe. We then noticed the vents were covered in mold. Concierge allowed us to switch rooms and while the smell of mold wasn’t as pervasive in the new room, it was still also run down. The paint on the walls were peeling, the bathroom towels were dingy and rough, there were a million stains on the curtains, the fridge was completely warm (and empty), the shelf in the bathroom was unhinged and barely hanging on, the door to the glass shower was completely missing (causing the bathroom to flood when we showered), and the outside terrace was dirty like it hadn’t ever been swept.

POOR SERVICE & FAVORITISM Service here was also very disappointing and inconsistent. Security, concierge, and housekeeping were friendly but all other employees (especially at dining) barely acknowledged us. Majority of guests were Filipinos and judging from the treatment we got, perhaps Bellevue isn’t a fan of foreigners. We noticed certain Filipino guests were catered to quite often but we would have difficulty trying to flag someone down to order something. The favoritism was very unwelcoming. We made the mistake of dining at the restaurant for my birthday and our waiter abandoned us, never checked in on us, and it took close to 20-25 mins to get someone else’s attention just to refill our water, despite the restaurant not being busy. We don’t drink alcohol and they were out of juices, so we were dehydrated, fed up and got up to leave. Our waiter somehow miraculously reappeared to run after us for a signature receipt though.

UNPROFESSIONAL There was an instance where I was lounging at the pool and employees would stand right next to me and gossip to each other. Unprofessional.

DIRTY BEACH The beach was far from clean, with seaweed strewn about and not raked. We went during low season so some seaweed is to be expected but we walked the beach and passed other hotels who didn’t seem to have this problem. Also the water in front of the resort is packed with boats so it feels like you’re staring at a port all the time.

The only highlight of our stay was the Catarman ride and only because the workers were pleasant to talk to. All other free extra curricular activities offered at the hotel are a joke and are free for a reason.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND It would have been nice if someone asked how our stay was when we checked out but they clearly don’t care. We asked if anyone could help with bringing our bags to the car shuttle while we settled our bill and the bellboy did not look happy about it. Very disappointing experience and would not recommend. My husband and I stayed at 3star hotels during the same period that were far and beyond better in all areas compared to Bellevue. Honestly regret that we decided to stay here our...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bellevue Resort Panglao, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience.

Quiet and Peaceful Beachfront Location: The resort is nestled in an idyllic, tranquil spot right on the beach. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore and the view of the crystal-clear water was incredibly soothing. It truly felt like my own private paradise.

Great Service Staff: I stayed with my family. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. They were always available to assist with any request and provided great recommendations for local activities.

We booked all the activities in the resort and everything was handled very well.

We booked for the Island Tour and we were assisted all the way by Boat Captain Manny and Lifeguard Darryl, we felt VERY SAFE in their hands!

We booked our ferry ride to our next travel destination through a travel agency (bookaway.com) and they cancelled our ride a day before our departure. The front desk under Ms. Cecil was very empathetic and fast enough to offer assistance to book directly to their affiliated transfer service. It was seamless!

The service here truly made the experience special, as I always felt well taken care of.

Great Breakfast Selection and A La Carte Menu: The resort’s breakfast was a highlight of my day! There was a vast selection of dishes to choose from, including fresh fruit, pastries, and hot options. I was particularly impressed with the a la carte menu, which offered a variety of delicious options. Whether you’re craving a hearty breakfast or something light, you’ll find something that suits your taste. The food was always fresh, beautifully presented, and satisfying.

Smooth Arrival and Departure Transportation Service: The arrival and departure were both seamless and stress-free. The resort offers a smooth transportation service, which was prompt and efficient. The drivers were friendly, and the vehicles were clean and comfortable, ensuring a smooth start and end to my stay. It was one less thing to worry about during my trip.

A key factor in making this resort stand out is the excellent leadership from the General Manager, Mr. Andrew Fernandez. It’s evident that the GM is deeply invested in ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. From the smooth operations to the attention to detail in all areas of the resort, the leadership is top-notch. You can feel the positive atmosphere created by their guidance, and it's clear that the staff is motivated and passionate about providing the best service possible. It’s a rare thing to see such effective leadership at this level, and it truly enhances the overall experience.

Overall, our stay at Bellevue Resort Panglao was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The combination of a peaceful setting, exceptional service, delicious food, and efficient transportation made this experience unforgettable.

Thank you Bellevue for a service from the heart. We felt home!

Sincerely,

Sarah and...

Room: Deluxe Ocean View, 506 - Very spacious room: two queen sized beds enough for a family of 3. An extra bed (double bed) was included in the room to accommodate for the third adult, which we didn’t need. A couch is placed in front of one of the queen beds, it is large enough for one adult to sleep on it. Large comfortable pillows. Flatscreen TV on the wall in front of beds, you can watch Netflix on it. Desk with a lamp adjacent to TV, good size for laptop + mouse or for a study area. Air conditioning is strong and adjustable, room fan on the ceiling. Balcony with two chairs and a table, ocean view but faces towards pool area. Be careful leaning over the balcony (5th floor). - Common room: includes bathtub, a shower with a moveable head and a stationary head above you. Very ambient lighting, especially with only the mirror light on (options for mirror and shower). Only used the amenity pack with the cotton buds and pads, really smooth. Water sprayer close to toilet. There’s a cupboard outside the CR which has bathrobes and ironing equipment. Hairdryer in one of the drawers. - WiFi: consistent and reliable speeds throughout the vicinity, even the beach. About 30mb/s download speed? - Beach: soft white sand and volleyball net (men’s height). Sunset to the left of the water, good scenery. Staff provided a beach volleyball. - Gym: various types of bars for deadlift/bench/preacher curls, plates that total about 120kg? Free weights and dumbbells maximum 35kg. One seat that can be used for incline/flat. One multipurpose machine (lat pulldowns/tricep pulldowns/chest press/abs). Water station with cups. Air conditioning is good. Mirror. - Food: large variety, main dining area scenic, during the night there are professional singers/band. Singer has an amazing voice. I liked the song choices: fly me to the moon, my all, when I met you. Songs suit the vibe. - Staff: very friendly and very approachable, amazing service. - Spa: got the 1 hour shea butter and almond body scrub for 1800 pesos. Very relaxing experience with the music. Smooth and moisturised skin. - Pool: three areas, shallow, 4ft, and 12ft depths. Comfortable warm temperature. Month of stay: September 2025, not busy at all, actually only a few families/groups there. Would recommend this to other groups and families ✌🏽👍🏽🔥

Honestly regret that we decided to stay here our last few days.
