Ocean Blue Lounge — Restaurant in Panglao

We came to this place for lunch today because it’s a nice looking restaurant and it’s the closest to the beach. Don’t let the look of this pretty restaurant fool you into thinking the food is good also. We ordered around 5 items Pineapple Pizza, Kinnilaw, Fish and Cheaps, Halang Halang Chicken, Butterfly Squid. Here’s our honest opinion about the food and we hope you don’t come here after this review.

The Pineapple pizza is just another frozen pizza, salty and bland.

Kinnalaw - bland, fish is not fresh yuck Fish and Chips- bland, salty, deed fried but it’s not hot enough. They didn’t fried them at the right temperature! Taste soggy and disgusting

Butterfly Squid - nice display of fish but it’s salty and bland.

Halang Halang - the worst dish because the chicken is stale and rotten the flesh is black and after first bite my wife got running diarrhea yuck. She had to take antibiotics and her stomach hurts. This restaurant don’t care about your health and needs to be shut down. It’s also expensive and overpriced. The only food that’s consistent and good is my Coke Zero

Please avoid this place...

Went there for a celebration with a crowd of friends. They catered a buffet for us and suffice to say, their food was amazing. All of us totally enjoyed the food, they also let our companion to sing for us.

There were some things that bothers me actually: -when our friend sang, their speaker was not that loud, we had to strained our ears to listen then i when i was so serious in listening, i noticed the marine graffiti on the wall behind my friend and i had to force my self not to laugh because it was that bad ( their clownfish looks like Joker 😆 too bad i didnt took a pic of it) it wasnt that much damaging but it was funny distracting. the place was too hot! When it was time for our friend to sing, they closed the doors. It was too hot inside and the electric fans were not covering everything. i was sweating when i went out.

But other than these, the experience was great 👍

Great location! Right in front of the beach, island vibes, cozy furnitures, they also have a duyan. We enjoyed hanging out in there because the weather was also windy not too humid as there is no airconditioning, only fans for inside ventilation. We ordered iced coffees and it was disappointing 😪. The sisig and pizza was also just mediocre. The place doesn’t have high chairs available for young kids. We might wanna come back to try the other things in their menu though because the location is really good and just to see if i change my mind about the food and drinks...
