Nichols Airport Hotel — Hotel in Parañaque

The hotel was okay and close to the airport so no long delays in traffic, however that was also it's major downfall. My room was at the front of the hotel facing the airport and right above the busy road the hotel is on. The noise of traffic and planes was horrificly loud for my entire stay due to the windows being outdated and the seal around the window had come away (I could fit my finger in the gap all the way round). When I told the reception about it they didn't even give an apology let alone any compensation for the awful nights sleep, just said "Thankyou for telling us, we shall fix it". The room itself was pretty clean but very basic for the price; you got a sachet of 2in1 shampoo/conditioner (yes I said sachet) a bar of soap, a small toothbrush and a very small bottle of water, that was all. The room did not even have a lamp so you could either be blided by all the main lights or sit in darkness. The room did have a TV but most of the channels had too much static to watch. The food is edible but overpriced for what you get in both quality and quantity. The porter staff were friendly enough and reception did well untill the lack of apology. When you don't book direct you miss out on the free breakfast and free transfer. If you want to buy the transfer it's 300php which is double the price of booking a taxi using Grab. In the morning check out doesnt have to be till 12noon but at 09:20am they called my room to ask when I was leaving and didnt say why, it felt like they were trying to prematurely chuck me out. I would not stay here again even for the closeness to the airport. I have enjoyed my stay in some great hostels more than the Nichols...

The rooms are ridiculously over priced, when you go in the room it’s clean, but one electrical outlet. You can’t charge phone and computer at the same time. The horrible food is 4-5x the price as what you can buy locally on the same street. There new policy is “no outside food” since you can’t leave your room your forced to eat there tiny, disgusting over priced food. P500 is there average meal with a drink. I ordered two pieces of chicken and it’s at most half of a meal, then had to return it to be fully cooked. But I never got it back, and still forced to pay there full price. There included breakfast is one egg, one cup plain dry white rice, and 2 tiny sausages the size of my thumb. A tiny styrofoam cup of cold coffee included. There is no longer a choice of breakfasts, your only choice is take it or leave it. There weak wifi kicks you off if inactive for 5 minutes, even if active kicks you off while using it after an hour, requiring a manual login each time, by reentering the login and password. 75 times a day, you do this, renter login ID and password, extremely frustrating. They constantly apologize for there terrible food and services. To apologize means you made a mistake, but they do all this on purpose. You feel like a hostage, not allowed to leave the room and forced to pay a ransom demand every time you want to eat. The ‘included’ airport transfer is not included, it’s p350 each way. When I arrived at the Airport Jay their staff was very helpful to carry my luggage for me and bring it at the van. And when I arrived the receptionist her name is Jen she's prompt, professional, polite and very helpful. As soon as I checked in Jay carry my luggage to my room and made sure that everything works at my room. I thought that was so nice of him. And in the Morning I woke up Bembol the one serving and bringing us breakfast lunch nd dinner is awesome too. He is very kind and patient to attend to all our needs. Anything we asked him he's there promptly. We're here to quarantine and we're not allowed to go out but the staff made us feel welcome I feel like I'm already at home the way the staff treating us. This is my 4 days of quarantine and I'm so pleased the way they're treating me. Thank you Nichols Airport hotel. I will recommend this dearly for all the people that's planning to come to Philippines. And my room is tidy and pretty neat. So no complaints here. I was worried about the people's reviews here. Now that I'm here there's not one cockroach I've seen not even ants. The staff made sure that it's sanitized and clean. So I'm very much happy. Thank you to the receptionist, the guard that 24/7 answered my phone calls.
