TLDR: This place is the best for seafood lovers with enough bucks to spare. The ambience is welcoming and all the staff members were polite and well mannered. They were all very nice and made sure to make us feel welcome which we truly appreciated the most because you would not feel awkward even as a first time diner.
For the price, Yes it is expensive but you will dine there to explore how best food can taste like and not to just fill your tummy with whatever. Lastly, trust the set menu. We ordered an additional item and realized we didn’t need to because the set is already very filling.

We had dinner at Nobu to celebrate a birthday and decided to order the Teppan Set Menu worth 8,500 per person.
It’s a 9-course meal with mostly seafood on the menu which is what Nobu restaurant is known for. Needless to say, the seafood entrees were delicious. Since it’s a Teppan menu, we were seated on Teppan table and enjoyed the cooking theatrics provided by the chef.
For the food, The grilled shrimp, sashimi and sushi were all amazing. we were given a brief introduction about the dish when each dish was served.
i loved the Sea bass in plum sauce best. The chef really took utmost care cooking it to perfection and ensured that both sides of the fish have even crispy crust.
This may be my own personal preference as I am a steak snob, but I liked the A5 Wagyu beef the least. Aside from just asking the chef to cook it medium rare, I gave him the reins and just observed how they plate it to get the usual Nobu Style. Funny enough (for me at least) the truffle sauce was added right on top of the meat. So for meat lovers like myself, it sort of reduced the experience of how best to eat it.
There was miso soup and fried rice too. The miso soup had a smoky flavor and had bite sized pieces of shrimp - not your typical run of the mill soup. There was butter and i think dried scallops/scallions added when cooking the fried rice which gave it a nice depth.
The desserts were great too. But we feel that the miso cappuccino tasted better. The Nobu halo-halo is good too, note though that the condensed milk mixed with kuromitsu is sickeningly sweet so use it sparingly.
I will go back maybe in 2-3 years time if we have another good occasion to celebrate and more money saved. Indeed it’s expensive but will how they source their ingredients, how carefully they prepare each course and how diligently they take care of you, it all adds up to why the price is like that.
This experience is for sure one for...
Read moreI had been looking forward to dining at Nobu Manila for quite some time, especially after an exceptional experience at Nobu Hong Kong, which remains one of my most memorable evenings.
Unfortunately, this visit did not meet the high expectations I associate with the Nobu brand. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the overall dining experience felt rather ordinary and lacked the distinctive refinement that typically defines Nobu restaurants.
We began with a bottle of champagne, which arrived completely flat and without bubbles. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, there appeared to be some misunderstanding at first. However, the manager handled the situation professionally by taking back the bottle and ensuring it was not included in our bill.
The Yellowtail with Jalapeño, one of my signature favorites from Nobu Hong Kong, was particularly disappointing here. The fish had not been properly trimmed, leaving parts of the skin attached, which made it unpleasantly chewy.
Presentation across the dishes was simple but unremarkable. My scallop dish, for example, was served with lemon slices full of seeds a detail that felt out of place in a fine dining setting.
Overall, my experience at Nobu Manila was satisfactory but far below the level of quality and precision I have come to expect from the Nobu brand. While I am glad to have visited, I left somewhat disappointed and hope the restaurant will strive to uphold the exceptional standards that make Nobu...
Read moreA private and sophisticated restaurant serving fabulous food.
We had a pleasant dining experience at Nobu, perhaps one of the world's best known dining brands, with very courteous servers and great tasting food.
The interior decor was tasteful, elegant, and understated. The place was very cold and cozy. The servers were very friendly and made thoughtful suggestions to make our meal more complete.
They served our meals one after the other, multiple course-style, although we didn't find this format necessary because we wanted to enjoy all the food all at once and take a picture with all of them together.
However, the way they served the food was actually kinda nice as we had to taste everything individually, without the other tastes spoiling each other. Maybe we're just not used to having our food served this way, but nonetheless this was a nice change for us. 😁
The miso-marinated black cod was unforgettable: the fish was delicate and moist, almost melting in your mouth. The Nobu sisig, a dish perhaps only available in Manila, was excellent and unique (cooked right in front of us, too!). The appetizers were also great and tasty.
I really can't complain about the food. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. The price you pay was kinda high but the experience was well worth it. We will certainly be returning...
