EJ Pension House — Hotel in Puerto Princesa

Our 2 nights stay was made very comfortable and special by the owners and their caretakers. It felt like we were vacationing with family because of their superb hospitality. Kuya Zaldy the owner picked us up from the airport even after our flight was delayed for more than an hour. We had hearty breakfasts ready every morning. They booked our tours for us and even gave us suggestions/tips for where to dine and shop for souvenirs. I highly recommend staying here especially for couples and families. And before I forget, they have stable/strong wifi in the common area/dining area which was a major plus for me.

The location was okay...on a muddy dirt road however...but not a big deal. The room.was clean and there was decent airco and cable TV. Lots of ants everywhere. NO working WiFi the entire time I was there in my room. The owners kept the gates to the property locked and the only way to enter or exit in the evening was if they opened the gates personally. I booked and paid for a room for two adults, but when my 2nd guest showed up the second day, they did not want to allow my guest access and we had quite a confrontation about it. I was not pleased. We have stayed here only one night as Puerto Princesa was only a stopover for us. The place is VERY clean (bathroom, bed, also bedsheets with good smell) with a nice and well maintained garden. There is hot water in the bathroom (which is difficult to find in this area). Close to the airport. Very delicious conventional breakfast. The staff is excellent also, they were always available and helped us is everything..we had to leave very early in the morning before breakfast time,but they prepared the breakfast for us and arranged the local taxi for a very low price.
