I'm giving 1 star because despite being one of the best days in Peurto Princessa so far, it was ruined by our boatman.
After reading the reviews we booked a cabin with just 2 of us. We paid the full asking price of 1000Pesos and turned up at 8am exactly as requested.
The day started off great. We were pulled out to sea, to anchor in shallow waters, where we could swim, relax, read, sleep, and eat. We were told it would be an all day experience. From 8 till 5. At 1pm the boatman tells us it's time to go back as the tides were dropping and he wouldn't be able to pull the boats afterwards. Our understanding was that we would wait until the tide went up again a few hours later and return back to the harbour. When we left, we could see that non of the other boats were returning. In fact they stayed put, just moving to deeper waters.
Even though it was a fantastic day, the deception on the boatmans part left a sour taste. When we returned back to shore, and complained to Viviene the lady rep who booked our cabin hire, and the boatman gave some bs about how he had given us an option and we CHOSE to come back. Why the frick would we chose to shorten a beautiful day without good reason?
I would recommend this experience to everyone, BUT make sure you get in writing the exact times of your hire, or you will be shafted. I imagine that after we left, another party were taken out for the afternoon session. Great way to double your income, if you can get away with it.

Read moreGreat experience today at Canigaran Beach floating cottages. Well worth the visit and very good value for money.
Our driver towed our floating cottage out to the sand bank where we could enjoy swimming in really warm water, and then we spent a couple of hours relaxing before heading back to land. The staff are great and will let you decide how long you wish to stay. We saw so many star fish!
Like other reviews have said - make sure you take water / food / refreshments with you.
Only downside is no toilet facilities, and due to building works the entrance to the area where the boats are docked isnt the prettiest. I recommend taking flip flops / water shoes for easier manoeuvring to and from the land.
Thank you for...
Read moreThis place is not a beach, but a place where you can rent a little floating platform, get towed to a sand bank in the sea and enjoy the the sea as long as you like.
If you have a day in Puerto Princessa and want to escape the heat, this is the perfect thing to do the water is clear, there are plenty of starfish everywhere it's very shallow, so suitable for non-swimmers too take your own food and drinks
Two things we didn't like: there was garbage from previous guests on our platform to access the platform you have to cross a construction site and...
