NiteLife Transient House — Hotel in Vigan

We inquired to the owner, who is in Vienna, regarding the rate of an overnight stay for our group of 13pax? She replied that since we booked early (more than a month before our check in) she will just give us 2 new rooms (under construction during my inquiry) for P3,000 (1st room good for 8 10pax, 2nd room good for 4 pax). I thought it was very cheap so I cleared it again form her, and her reply was affirmative - P3,000 for the 2 rooms. She then asked me to deposit P1,000 to reserve the 2 rooms, which I did the next day and PM her the deposit slip.||||On the night that we will check in, the caretaker Guiller fetched us from the Burgos Plaza to lead our vehicle to their place (which was very commendable of him & wife). But upon check in, we were told that there was a mix up and another customer actually mistakenly got the 10pax room that was assigned to us. They offered us 1 room good for 12pax, but we thought that it will be difficult to fit us all in 1 room. S, to cut the story short, we got another room worth P1,500. But Guiller gave us a discount of P500, so our total accommodation was P4,000 instead of the earlier agreed P3,000.||||I believe that the problem is with the owner's way of room reservations, they should number or name their roo,s accordingly: Room 1, Room 2 an so on and so forth. So when a customer reserves a room for a articular date, they will list it as : Room2 - Reserve to Mr. Galvez for P3,000, easy right? The problem is that the owner wants customer to transact with her, I think the caretaker should be the one to do the reservation. He can handle it better than the owner.||||On the positive side, Guiller and his wife served us sumptous breakfast of 2 pc. Vigan Longganisa, egg & rice for only P70, and it taste good. No problem with him, his wife & manang, they were very accommodating.||||Would I go back, probably not unless they improve their reservation process. It's also a 10 minute drive to the Plaza/Heritage Village. And at night, it could be very dark. Better find a hotel near or within the Heritage Village so you can walk around at night and never have to travel to go to your hotel.||||Would I recommend this place? For the reservation- it was not smooth.we agreed upon a certain price over the phone and reservation fee of 1k had been deposited with the price .upon arrival owner said she thought we were 6 but i said that we were 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) thats why she agreed to the price and then haggled for a higher price.i stood with the agreement which she eventually gave in.||For the room- it is ok for the price though we were packed like sardines with 4adults and 3 kids for a room supposed to be for 4 adults.|| For the cooking area- it was a give away but just be ready to wait for your turn that might take an hour or two for you to cook your own food if you choose to cook your packed food. We paid 50pesos for cooking there.||For the staff- all accommodating and friendly specially the receptionist.||For the location- slightly away from the city center but still accessible with own car.||For the inner access road- slightly narrow of about 50meters but they have wide parking lot at the transient house frontyard.||Overall- would i come back? I inquired and reserved a room for the booking of the same day. The information put me on hold and said to call me back since they will contact the first guest who INQUIRED! So I waited for few minutes for the call back.||I called back since I did not get any call from them to check if they already contacted the guest who inquired, and Nitelife informed me that they cant contact the guest and told me to call me back again. And it happens for 6 times more with the same scenario. I tried to be calm and I asked them if they can‘t accommodate us then they should habe said NO so that we can find another place to stay since we traveled a long way to visit Vigan. However, the worst part of what happened was they told us they can accommodate us and to go straight to the transient house then they ended up telling us that they are fully booked and they will transfer us to another transient house and they don’t know how much would be the cost. Imagine our horror knowing that! We are so tired since we came from Sagada and go straight in Vigan to finish our North Luzon tour then our hotel reservation cancelled on us in the last minute!
