Very bad hotel, I am surprised it has good reviews from others.
I’ve been here a couple of days and so far I can say that the location is not very nice, I’ve stayed a few places in Lodz and this is the least pleasant.
The staff are not very helpful - in the guest information it says there are drinks and snacks available 24h from reception, but when I went to get water the receptionist seemed genuinely surprised and said the bar is closed and they have nothing. She then changed her mind and got some for me from a cupboard, when I asked for two bottles she said there is only one.
So basically if you run out of water here the hotel will not help - you will need to wait until shops open in the morning.
I find all the staff a bit strange here for some reason. When I ask about something they all seem to get together to intimidate or something. You ask one person a question and end up facing about 5 people.
The worst thing about the hotel is the beds and pillows though. They are absolutely horrible.

When we arrived, the hotel had only recently opened and there were some hiccups: the phones didn't work, the thermostat/air in the room didn't work and the windows were locked, and the TV was glitchy. (It would also be great if one could get a kettle in the room and not use the coffeemaker for hot water.) I think all those issues are temporary. We also appreciated being located in a quiet room facing the sunsets and the lovely big bath towels. One thing that surprised me is the hotel's cost for parking, considering its location. They charge more for parking than a hotel located right on Piotrkowska, even though it's a 10-15 minute walk to restaurants, retail, cafes, ATMs, etc. (There was a Zabka across the street.) In my humble opinion, a hotel in this location should have dramatically cheaper parking. But we would stay again—and get...
