We stayed at Caparica Sun Centre for one night as we continued our road trip down the coast. While the value was good, the whole place was rather strange. The facility was big but was completely empty. Costa de Caparica seems to shut down entirely in the fall and winter months, we were surprised the hotel even decided to stay open. Unfortunately there is very little in the vicinity as far as grocery stores or restaurants. Our room was big but had a bit of a strange smell to it, it wasn't a huge bother but we just couldn't figure out what exactly it was. Breakfast was included which was a plus. All in all a good value for the money but we had sort of an uneasy feeling the entire time due to the complete and total lack of people and nothing in the area around with us. Read moreIf you are looking for a cheap hostel then this is a prefect choice. The quality is really not good. You have "public bathrooms" (so no toilet in your room), the bedrooms are pretty comfortable. The wi-fi doesn't work in every room and even if it does you don't have a great connection. There are a lot of school trips and other groups in there, so it may be really noisy. There are still some good stuff. The beach is really near. You have ping-pong, a tennis court, a (dirty) swimming pool and to go to the center you only have to take a bus. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend it but for a quick,cheap stay...

The staff are really friendly and nice, the facilities are pretty clean, it's a short walk to the beach which is clean and beautiful, there's not much in the neighborhood and it's quiet but there are a few cafes, restaurants, and a grocery store in walking distance.||||Bad points: internet didn't work in the room, only the common area downstairs.
