Quinta de Santa Luzia — Hotel in Funchal

We shared a week long family holiday at the main house (plenty of space for the 3 families, 16 of us)). Our ages ranged from 11 to 85! It is a very big, beautiful house with loads of space and so much for everyone to do. The views over the ocean and harbour are stunning. The gardens are beautiful. The piano was played, the pool table used, the extensive library with novels and loads of Madeira information were read. The pool was used by everyone, it is a big, very clean infinity pool with a stunning view of the garden, and no smell of chlorine (I don’t know how they do it.

A special word of thanks to Andrew, he was a great help with everything from taxi’s to restaurants offering traditional dinner’s. If we wanted information about anything, or to arrange an excursion - he would always help, he even dropped off my mum’s iPad and Kindle which she’d forgotten after we left. Absolutely...

Beautiful, clean ancient family house. The property is amazing and very well located, close the the main attractions if Funchal and accessible by foot. View is breathtaking (see pictures). Andrew is very nice and welcoming.

By far the most memorable place I've ever stayed at. If you are looking for a unique place this the one.

PS : bed is comfortable, bathroom a bit old fashioned but that's why you're here right ? Breakfast is good with a beautiful view...

We were there to celebrate the wedding of my sister. Haven’t been to a place so nice, warm and cosy. Perfect ambiente for a wedding. Unfortunately we were late for booking and of the rooms, but had the chance to take look around. Super nice! Everything fits.
