Ericeira Ocean View Villa — Hotel in Mafra

Beware when you rent this house you pay by the number of guests staying on the house. If you plan to have friends or family visiting you, even if only for a few nights, even if you have bedrooms left available, you will have to ask for permission and Pedro will charge you extra charges straight from your deposit as he may see fit. Beware, do not rent out of a booking platform like Airbnb or Booking.com or you are taking the risk of being scammed and your deposit held in totality for covering repairs of preexisting dammages which Pedro will hold you responsible for. In our case, we booked through Airbnb, Pedro suggested we cancel the reservation for a better direct deal which ended up being a big scam. Our 1700 euro deposit was wrongfully held for covering the cost of a new towels warmer at 600 euros !!! and unjustified extra guests charges while we were between 2 guests and 7 guests in that 5 bedrooms house. Perdo could not be bothered since he was on Holidays and did not want to hear about the details of our visitors or our calls for help regarding the sauna that never worked pretending that we were responsible for this and assuming we were overconsuming electricity ....we rented for 13 days and had not even one change of sheets, we had to beg for a change of towels, there was no dryer that we could eventually do our laundry ourselves and we were rudely scolded when using the washers or having a few lights on inside during the day as and where needed, or for having left the jacuzzi on or the floors heater on as was when we did check in with his cousin Miguel since Mr Pedro the owner was on Holidays. This was a terrible experience and we hope no one will ever have to experience this again with him. Beautiful house but rude and dishonest host. We feel disgusted and this situation did badly affect our Holidays in Ericeira.Happy new...

This home is incredible, and the story is captivating. It sits along the water atop a hill overlooking an amazing view of the sunset and the ocean. The home is Absolutely incredible, custom home from every detail the owner has done the work to make this home stunning and functional. There are incredible amenities, such as custom kitchen, outdoor dining space hot tub, and the bedrooms are luxurious and comfortable. We stayed 4 nights here and it was one of the best places we've stayed in the world. A trip we will remember forever, and the home is a place we could never forget. The kitchen is fantastic, perfect for preparing some food to share outside and sit by the hot tub while watching the sun go down on the water. A very special place for certain. One thing that absolutely stood out was the beautiful gardens at this Villa. Stunning, and peaceful✌️ to relax and enjoy while being at the house with all the beautiful plants and trees around. Very unique and professional. One of the best parts of this house is the location, a very short walk from the town where lots of restaurants and fun activities take place. Some of the best food we had in Portugal we found here in Ericeira, and we would walk down in the evening after enjoying a sunset, and hang out in town. The convenience is incredible. Also, a short drive from some of the best surf in the world. I give the place 10 of 10 no question. And I'm looking forward to coming back as soon as possible. I could go on and on about it, but truth be told, if I could live here forever I'd die a happy man, but for now I'll have to settle for a few days here and there when I can make it back to paradise in Portugal. Just arrived back from Portugal where our family stayed at this modern property in Ericeira.

The Property: Exactly as described and as photographed from the listing’s pictures. The property is modern and lavish in its furnishings. Beds are super comfortable. We absolutely loved the fire pit in the evenings, and the hot tub was super clean (clear water, no foam). The kitchen has all the amenities (dishes/utensils/cookware/bakeware/coffee maker/dishwasher) one could imagine. Bathrooms super clean with fresh towels for each of the rooms.

Location: Great location in Ericeira, with a stellar ocean view. You are a short 10 min walking distance from the beaches and Ericeira’s central strip where you have a ton of local restaurants. There is also a massive modern US-style supermarket (Continentale) located a short 10 min walk (or 2 min drive) from the property. Fresh pastries/produce/fish each day. We had a rental car for our stay (free parking out front in a quiet crescent (cul-de-sac): Property is a 20 min drive from Mafra, 30 min from Sintra and 40 min from Lisbon.
