We stayed at the Seashell Apartments on the beach rather than the Quinta based on The host’ssuggestion when I asked for a balcony (the rooms at the Quinta were already booked on the days we visited). We could not have been happier. You are literally across the street from the beach with amazing beach and Sitio (the upper Nazare community).||The apartment is large and comfortable. The balcony has a table and chairs. The living room has a large couch and tv and a lounge type chair. There is a nice size kitchen with ample supplies (we only made coffee and warmed leftovers) and two stools for eating at the counter. We also used the stools as tables when we sat in the other chairs. The bedroom has a queen bed, 2 night tables, a dresser, and a lounge type chair. There is a bedroom window and a window over the stairs so you get great cross breezes. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. The apartment was very clean. The location is wonderful for walking anywhere in Nazare. Nazare is a great location for day trips. We only spent 3 night but could easily have spent several more. Anna Marie and Anna we so friendly and helpful with advice on where to shop, park, eat, etc. I also really liked Nazare because it feels like a real city rather than a tourist destination. ||One word of caution: great views often have a price. In this case, it is the three floor walk up. The top floor also does. It have a bannister and us a bit windy. But my husband is 70 and I 63 and we did it ... up and down several times a day. I am glad we did and would definitely...
Read moreSEASHELL APARTMENTS - What a view! Nothing like waking up in the morning after a very comfortable sleep, walking out to the balcony and seeing the beautiful beach and glistening sea. You can't go wrong with this location. It's a great home base for neighbouring attractions, historical sites and gorgeous neighbouring beaches. We were in the apartment for one week and wish we could stay longer. Our friends also stayed in a separate apartment in the same building that was equally clean and comfortable, with living room doors that opened up to an unobstructed view of the ocean and beach.||The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and flexible. They even suggested great places to eat, assisted us with restaurant reservations and highlighted areas of interest. They know how to make their guests feel welcome and ensure that their needs are met. I would definitely...
Read moreFirst thought: don't trust your car's navigation system to find this unique B&B. Just keep going down the narrow road until you reach a flowered archway. That's it. Then dodge the multicolored chickens and peacocks that inhabit the grounds and park near the rambling house on the ridge overlooking the town and ocean. Second thought: this is not a deluxe property, but it is quite good for the price. The owners (two Annas) were very hospitable and go out of their way to assist you with your needs. Breakfast was very nice with lovely touches. Please note that the town is at least a 25-minute walk from the B&B but only a...
