Great stay. A friendly and service oriented owner and staff. A cozy 11 unit hotel with a nice pool. It’s not luxury but it’s a clean and comfortable hotel. Very nice breakfast. Not huge variety b/c it’s a small hotel but the quality is fine. Short walk to the main beach in Nazaré. About a 40 minute walk over to north beach and the big wave surf museum in the old fort. A short drive to north beach if you don’t want to walk the stairs. The funicular was not running in September 2025 but that’s another option when it’s operational. It’s a short walk to a self service laundry and to a grocery store. The hotel has a small bar — as well as an area to sit and eat food you bring from outside. The hotel has a small parking lot for guests and there is free street parking on the street. There are a number of nice towns worth visiting not far from Nazaré such as Alcobaca, Batalha and Obidos. If you go to Obidos, it’s best to go early or late when it’s not packed with buses and tourists. It’s a delightful village but it’s terribly over touristed during the...

We stayed at the Villamar Style Maison on February 24. When we entered our room, the electricity was not working. I went to the receptionist and she did something to the circuit breaker and our lights came on. But the AC/heater was still disabled. The receptionist came back to our room and put new batteries in our remote, and the system began to work. But after 20 minutes, no heat was blowing out. It was 8:30pm & the receptionist had left for the night. We had no choice but to sleep in a cold room. This morning I explained our situation to the manager. She informed me that the Villmar was having electrical issues yesterday, and said we should of moved to another room when we had repeated problems with our room. I told her their office was closed so there was no one there to assist me. The manager became rude and tried to tell me the problems with my room were my fault. When I asked her name she refused to give it to me. This is my 3rd trip to Portugal and I've always had great hotel experiences until now. Beware of Villamar...

We are frequent travelers. We booked a refundable hotel reservation through Expedia. After we cancelled this reservation a week before arriving, they charged our card for the stay! Be careful! Bad management, bad owners. Now they are wasting our time. We will dispute it with Expedia and our credit card and get our money back. We have an email copy of our reservation. that we will send our credit card to get the chargeback.

This is very uncommon for hotels to do. Plenty of other places in the area so go elsewhere. If this helps one person from being screwed and having their time wasted with this hotel, then we have done our job writing...

A beautiful boutique hotel is well situated within walking distance of the coast line. The staff are always willing to help with directions and suggestions as to where to eat and sites of interest. Room was clean and well appointed and we especially loved the shower water pressure at the end of a long tiring day of touring. We would return to this hotel without question. Thanks to Vanesa who welcomed us upon our arrival... Cheers!

Lovely hotel in Nazare, clean, good decor and with a pool/outdoor relaxation area for some swimming when the sea is a bit rough. Great team, so friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to the main streets, restaurants and shops. Main bus stops also close for transfers to other cities including Lisbon. Highly recommend, would definitely return.
