Set above the town, this is a beautiful place for a hotel. The good: the facilities are beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The indoor pool, sauna, and outdoor pool are beautiful. They are clean and perfect in every aspect. Note, you'll need a bathing cap. So bring one or pay up 3€ at the reception. The breakfast is delicious. The only fault was canned or bottled what seemed like sweetened "orange juice." Warm eggs and some meats were available and there was even a gluten free section. All sorts of dairy milk alternatives were provided. It was a good breakfast 🥞 experience. In the room, the mini split provided a comfortable climate. Needs improvement: One of the towels in our room looked like someone wiped oil off their hands after changing their cars oil. Stained really bad. I had to hunt for outlets to charge and then contort to plug in my charger under the desk. The common area rugs need replacement. The rooms are dated, but clean. Fighting moisture is clearly an ongoing war as it is in all coastal humid areas. Replace the cotton candy red soap in the common areas with something that doesn't leave one's hands smelling like a gas station bathroom. So, I would give the pool and spa a 5 and the hotel a 3.

At a first glance the hotel looks nice and cozy, however I'll let you know the review of one night there (in March). 1. The main lights of our room (113) didn't work, we had to find our way with the bedside lamps; 2. The air conditioner was fixed at 20C, and I swear we've tried everything, but no way to set it to a different temperature; 3. Despite the AC being at a relatively low temperature, the room was extremely hot. I guess it has electric radiant heating under the carpet, and no way to turn it off; 4. There's absolutely no parking around or at the hotel facilities; 5. And the most surprising one... We woke up surrounded by Nazaré's wildlife. Our bed, bedside table and floor were crowded with ants. Yes, ants! I don't know where they came from, but a closer inspection revealed that the carpet had a full community of them. Maybe in summer you guys have better luck. Above all, avoid room 113!

After beeing here in Portugal for almost 2.5 weeks this was probably my least favorite hotel. The rooms were good, the views were good, pool and beach nearby, breakfast included, pool table to play, many resturants near by, and the list goes on. The bathrooms are a joke here constantly holding on to the dirty sink button to get water flowing or else it shuts off right away. Toilet paper comes in napkin form, square sheets. We asked for a third bed to be made and 3+ hours later they still never made it. We found hairs in our food as well. We found a dead bird by the pool. I can name a couple other things but you get the picture. If you are coming to Nazaré for a couple days then it's fine but if your staying for a week or two definitely look somewhere else. It's not all that bad of a hotel but could definitely use some fixes.

We stayed here 2 nights. We had a duite with our own deck and lounge chairs. unfortunately those lounges had bird poop on them when we arrived and were never cleaned. nor were we offered any nlanket or towel covering to allow us to use them. the room was clean overall and very spacious. the safe in the room did not work, even after we had staff come to reset it. the tv remote did nog work in the sitting area. ||Because of covid, amenities are reduced. the outdoor pool was open, and families were definitely enjoying it. the restaurant was not open the first night, and the bar had only snacks to offer. although the hotel advertises that they have a shuttle van, it was not available while we were there. ||The hotel sits high on a hill anove the town of Nazare so enjoys a lovely view. We asked about bus service to the hotel are and were told there is none. this is incorrect, however. we found a bus stop 3 doors away from the hotel and discovered it makes a loop through town. ||We sldo asked about restaurants and cafes nesr the hotel and were told we would need to go down to town. again this was incorrect. we found a fabulous...

We had such high hopes when booked this place. What a disappointment!!! Expedia advertised it with " 50 % off spa services" . That turned out not true! The hotel refused to honour it. The so called spa consists of indoor pool with few jets : you have to pay 10 € for 1 hr .and you need a swimming hat - dont have one- pay another 5 €. We booked a double room, thought that paying extra will get us better accommodations. They placed us on the first floor: ppl were parking so close to our windows, we were reluctant to open them. Never mind no privacy, constant noise , etc. We asked to move rooms and were refused. The reception desk staff had attitude and were mostly arrogant. You didnt want to ask them for any help. Our last 2 nights were completely spoiled by starting renovations: the hall way carpet was being changed. Imagine the smell of glue and hazardous stairway with pieces of old carpet torn off. Stay away ppl and spend your hard earned money...
