This was a very decent and affordable hotel — nothing fancy or luxurious, but it covers the basics quite well. It’s clean, efficient, and does the job for travelers looking for a simple place to stay. One of the best surprises was that if you’re lucky enough to get a room with ocean views, it really adds a lot of value to the overall experience. That said, there were some clear drawbacks. The room itself felt extremely tight, especially for two people with a couple of suitcases. There was very limited space to move around, which made things feel a bit cramped and uncomfortable. The bathroom was also quite small, and while functional, it lacked the comfort you’d hope for in a multi-day stay. One highlight was the balcony. Though the interior space was tight, the room had a good-sized balcony where we enjoyed golden hour and sunset views — that part was genuinely lovely and added a sense of openness and relaxation we didn’t get inside the room. The most significant downside for me was the parking situation. The hotel only has three official parking spots, which are always full. Given the area is busy and surrounded by in-demand places like grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and a laundromat, street parking is very limited and expensive. I had to park at a nearby garage, which cost 10 euros overnight. As for the rooftop, the amenities there weren’t particularly impressive — nothing that would stand out compared to more upscale hotels. But once again, the ocean and sunset views from the rooftop are stunning and give you a brief illusion of being at a five-star resort. All in all, this hotel offers good value for money, especially if you’re not planning to spend too much time in the room. It’s a solid base for exploring the area, as long as you’re okay with a few compromises in comfort and convenience.

DO NOT RUIN YOUR AMAZING MADEIRA TRIP WITH THIS HOTEL!!!! FIND BETTER ACCOMMODATIONS OR GO CAMPING OUTDOORS INSTEAD IF YOU WANT TO SAVE €€ !! The most disappointing accommodation I've experienced in my life, And I stayed in SEVERAL INDIAN hotels! Terribly hot room with a barely working fan. Constant construction noises in the evening time when youre trying to relax. Bathroom has no vents so smell lingers for hours and disgustingly leeches into your room and stays, random kitchen in our room that had 0 working appliances One staff member was rude and condescending especially that blonde girl. We asked for tissue papers since they're extremely thin and small for 2 people. and she told us "why do you want more? No, the maids will give extra later ill tell them." Should we use your white towels and give you brown stained towels to clean? Just give your damn guest a paper tissues when we ask, terrible attitude to have working front of house. The maids however were incredibly nice and sweet, other front of desk lady was very helpful and insightful. The few redeeming people about this hotel. Special thanks to those folk. Everything else atrocious. Avoid at all costs Beautiful added bonus is if you want boiled water, they give you an ancient kettle with black mold. If i didn't notice this, I would've gotten horribly sick. I cannot imagine how many holidays were directly ruined by this hotel

To start, we book the LUX room. The only good thing is : the view and location. Horrible old designs, needs a lot of renovation. There was a lack of laminate in some places (literally the wholes everywhere), dirtiness, broken balcony door (which we kindly ask to fix, got some promise from the reception, but it was never fixed). When we arrived there was mold and bad smell in the refrigerator, so we informed Reception team and asked them to clean it up, it took them 4 days to clean it, even though we reminded them every day about it. The kitchen was out of order, not a single cutlery. (But the funniest thing is that there was an A4 paper with words "Dear guests, Fried fish is forbidden, due to the foul smell". Moreover, the water in the bathroom was changing all the time from cold to hot. Pool area: not attractive at all. ONLY 3 parking spots for guests.
