Restaurante D. Luís — Restaurant in Ribeira Brava

We found this restaurant in google maps. It had lots of good reviews however when we saw the menu in a few languages and its location just next to the beach we thought - “Oh no! It is surely a tourist trap!” We were too tired though to look for another place so we stayed there and ordered twice grilled chicken breast (with two sides: mixed salad and batatas a murro) and tuna steak with onion and also the same two sides(they are included. You can also choose rice or chips). We didn’t have to wait long. The portions were generous and the food was really delicious! We were nicely surprised! I would rather starve then actually eating here again. Service was very poor and really not caring at all about what you order. Food is absolutely mid and you have to wait an hour to actually pay. Absolutely not worth the price. Food at all wasn’t that bad, but it was not good either. My mood was ruined for the rest of the night. Really think about going to this place. Highly recommend! The food is nice, some better than the others, but if you’re here - definitely go for the grilled meat/fish! Grilled chicken breast was the best chicken I ever had in my life - tender, juicy, smoky from the real fire grill - simply brilliant! The skewers are also excellent!! The prices are good. We were there 4 days in a row and we were always satisfied. If you like sangria - I recommend the red one!
