We booked here as this is supposed to be a dog friendly hotel. However, when we arrived the man at reception informed us that the dog was only allowed to enter via the main entrance to go up to the room and was not welcome in any comminual areas. At 6am, we tried to take our dog outside only to find the front door locked! No one was on reception to help or open the door. This was not only hugely inconvenient for any dog owner whose pet might need a bathroom break, but it is terrifying to think what might happen if there was a fire in the building. Breakfast is a problem for dog owners too: dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but also not allowed to be left in the room unattended. Our room was large and relatively clean although the bath plug was full of hair. The tea provided in the room was a nice touch, although there were only three tea bags, just one of each flavour (we had to choose who would would get the breakfast tea), alongside a polite notice informing guests that each refill of the tea and coffee costs 5 euros. On the upside, a lovely dog welcome pack was provided although this does not make up for the inconveniences and the shocking fact that the front door is locked at night and unable...
Read moreLocation is quite good, within walking distance to the historical center, easy access to restaurants, quiet and free parking.
Hotel has an outside swimming pool, which isn't huge but it is nice to cool down in those warm days.
Breakfast has a good variety.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious and clean.
The spa area was disappointing. The room for the indoor pool has no decoration at all, not even plants, and there are not enough chairs for the maximum number of people that are allowed in.
Jacuzzi, Steam bath and sauna didn't have a working shower available. Steam bath didn't work properly. It barely had steam. It worked for a few minutes and then it stopped for such a long period it had barely any steam for the most part.
The air conditioner in the room didn't work Although it has a controller and in theory would allow you to decrease or increase the temperature, it didn't have any effect.
The placement of the TV in the room was odd, to low and not centered (no possibility of...
Read moreWe visited as part of a Titan tour group. Absolutely loved it. Ver imposing outside, very spacious and smart inside. Our room - 307 - was magnificent. A suite with huge bed, separate bathrooms, lounge area and foyer area, even two very large TV's much in English. All great. Breakfast very good indeed, dinner also good but sadly a little expensive. Very useful excellent supermarket just across the road at the rear of the building. Excellent location, staff good and efficient although they could be a little more cheerful and friendly.|Huge lounge area leading off from this are the restaurants and also to the gardens and pool, gardens not over large but pleasant, pool is very good indeed with loungers. Only disappointment was the indoor pool which was very small and very shallow, and you need to book in advance to use it, as a result no-one at all was ever seen using it. Best to give this a complete miss.|Overall we were very happy there and wholeheartedly...
