Here is my experience after leaving for 6 months at the Residences Le Royal Méridien Lusail.
Pros: Location: the surroundings are nice, particularly early morning and at sunset. There are so many trees and bushes upfront, the birds are singing like nowhere else and it made us feel we were outside of Doha everyday Pool: the dedicated pool at the residences is great for swimmers (28 m long) and great for kids with a nice shaded and shallow water area Road access: commuting towards Al Khor or Doha is extremely easy, just a few traffic lights to reach the highway Gym: spacious and well equipped gym at the hotel side. Includes a yoga / stretching room. Kitchen: plenty of storage space, large counter and kitchen island Appliances: both laundry machine and dryer are of high quality (LG) and placed in a dedicated laundry room, not the kitchen. Master bathroom: equipped with both shower and bathtub Vendome mall: there is a direct link to the mall, offering many options, including a supermarket (Monoprix), pharmacy, bank, restaurant and the likes
Cons: Housekeeping: it has been a long fight all along, no consistency, supervision and management does not seem to take the necessary actions but to keep apologizing. Smart house: the apartments are equipped with supposedly smart lighting and A/C remote control system. It simply does not work! The display is very bright and on all the time... not practical in the bedroom if you expect a dark night to sleep Communication: whatever is requested or reported to either Front Office, Engineering or housekeeping, if not addressed or sorted upon, do not expect any follow up... there is none! A/C: in the master bedroom the fan is very noisy, whereas it's pretty silent in the living room and 2nd bedroom. Engineering cannot do anything about it. Windows: the apartment has balcony and all windows are sliding type. The main problem is the quality: poor soundproofing, which is really nice with the birds singing, much the opposite with the traffic at night and during weekends. Also every Thursday night, one of the restaurants on the hotel side is having an outdoor music band. The music is so loud that we cannot even listen to the tv from our living room! Appliances: apart from laundry, the appliances are not up to the standards of a 5-star place. Hoven is poor, hot plates are ceramic not induction, no double sink nor shower type faucet Bathroom: like in most places... zero built-in storage. The showers are equipped with basic faucet and not a thermostatic mixer which only requires to adjust the flow Parking: there is no designated parking slot... most probably the only place in Qatar asking to pay extra for a dedicated spot! Curtains: don't provide a proper darkness in the bedrooms... same railing, not overlapping. They stopped a few centimeters from the floor
In overall, we had the worst ever service apartment experience in Qatar. Le Royal Meridien Vendome Lusail is good looking from the outside, utterly disappointing on a day to day basis. Read moreI have just checked out from the hotel one hour ago , it was the worst hotel stay in life .. starting with construction work in the spa which was not notified to us ,, when we did the booking through (Ameena and Abdul Raheem)the receptionists we were promised that we would be given complimentary breakfast if we do the booking through the hotel directly and not via a third party like booking,agoda..ect and no other compensation for the inconvenience caused by not having the spa services that was not mentioned in any of the hotel’s official platforms Nor we were notified about it prior to payment completion , but basically and logically as fooling for the guests , all what we got is apologies and sorry !! When we started our next day morning in a very good positive vibes away an anything mentioned above we were still slightly satisfied ignoring all the unprofessional matters we were facing in our stay , we went to have our breakfast that is mentioned earlier yesterday by two different agents that it will be inclusive and complementary for us to as per staffs Abulrahim and Amina along with their incharge manager they discussed this matter with whom agreed to provide us with Breakfast only and nothing else. But we found our selves to be chased after as if we were criminals by the restaurant receptionist called Amal kept going and coming more than 5 times infort of every one which caused so much embarrassment for all of us , she kept saying the breakfast is not inclusive . Once we sat on the table a staff called (Mohsen) came to us in very rude , disrespectful, unprofessional , impolite, discourteous whom did not introduced himself, nor said hi or hello and started the conversation with (once you finished your breakfast we will bring you the pill) in a very very very caddish way and when we asked him to introduce himself he refused infront of all guests and some people started starring to us which caused so much embarrassment and when we asked him for the second time he introduced himself unfortunately he didn’t accept any kind of discussion or our opinion to his attitude, we asked to contact with his manager he refused at the first time and when we asked for the second time he brought Mr.Hussain and we sat with him explaining what happened and the way he was dealing with us , unfortunately he was just saying sorry and didn’t take any action with the one who embarrassed us infront of everyone and how he changed our vacation mode into depression , we felt he defended the staff and didn’t take our feedback and customer right seriously

The hotel also boasted a convenient corridor that led directly to a mall, which was a fantastic added bonus for those looking to indulge in some shopping and walking around.
However, while the hotel had many positives, there was one aspect that slightly affected my stay. Due to its proximity to a street, the room I stayed in was exposed to some external noise. The sound insulation could have been stronger, and it occasionally disrupted the tranquility of the room. Nevertheless, it is important to note that the issue was promptly addressed by the hotel's manager, Nabil.
Nabil's exceptional handling of the situation truly impressed me. He went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Not only did he contain the situation effectively, but he also offered compensation as a gesture of goodwill. However, what stood out to me the most was Nabil's respectful and polite demeanor. His genuine concern for his guests and his commitment to resolving any issues without hesitation was commendable.
Despite the noise concern, I genuinely appreciate the efforts made by Nabil to make me feel at home in the hotel. His exceptional service and dedication to guest satisfaction are truly noteworthy. It is refreshing to encounter a gentleman who takes pride in his role and goes the extra mile to ensure a memorable stay for his guests.
Considering the overall experience, I can confidently say that I will undoubtedly visit this wonderful hotel again in the future. The hotel's stunning aesthetic, convenient location, and most importantly, the exceptional service provided by Nabil, make it a highly recommended choice for anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable stay.
In conclusion, while the room noise was a minor setback, the hotel's beauty, convenient mall access, and the exceptional service provided by the respectful and polite manager, Nabil, outweighed any negatives. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning for another wonderful...
