Read moreWe have been SPA Members of Four Seasons Pearl for a year. We are also regular clients of the hotel chain in general (we did experience a few of their hotels in the GCC, Indian Ocean and Europe).||The Four Seasons The Pearl is not meeting the standard of the chain, and we were once again disappointed by a poor service and a TERRIBLE CUSTOMER experience : while we attended the Iftar, our car that was left at the Valet parking got completely damaged (plate was not even attached to the car any more when it was returned) and all we got from the hotel is « sorry, it is a taxi driver, not our fault ». ||Four Seasons Doha The Pearl : you have responsibility towards your customers, you still have an indirect responsibility as you parked the car in a public parking and did not put enough surveillance in place. ||Our car will now be in the workshop for a week, we are unable to drive our child, who has special needs, to his school during that time, and will have to use taxis at our cost and risk. The hotel could not care less and did not offer anything aside of « sorry, not our fault », not even a glass of water.||Aside of that, we have been very disappointed by the Christmas brunch while we were placed on a picnic table on the beach, while all our guests got paint marks on their clothes (tables were recently painted) and pieces of wood in their skin. It took 3 months for the information to go up to their F&B manager. We also had a bad experience at the Joel Robuchon restaurant, but heard that the « maitre de salle » got eventually fired following various clients complaints. ||Only positive about Spuntino and Chicago Rare however : the teams are lovely and so is the food.||Think twice...
Read moreThis review is only on their Iftar…, as we enjoyed Spuntino multiple times and Chicago Rare before, and loved the food and service. However, the Iftar experience of this year was different. While the set up is nice, the variety of food is less than other Iftars such as Waldorf. The grill was disappointing, cold and hard chicken and beef skewers. No Kunafa!! and yet same price of others in town (Waldorf Westbay same price much better variety, service,..). Service was poor as only 1-2 servers were available, delaying tea / coffee or cleaning the plates late. I had to get up and find somebody to give the plates to! Made the reservation on the same day before noon and when called 2 hours later to add 2 more people, a gentleman in reception said no, fully booked! I said only 2 more? Said no, not possible! However, when we entered at 5:30 it was almost empty and hour later, two hours later, still half empty! I shared my experience and gave feedback on this to one of those ladies (who were just moving around doing nothing), she said “oh sorry thats our core team who takes care of reservations!” I said ok but maybe you wanna check, as seems there is a disconnect (zero care). We could have another family join us but just because apparently the guy in the reception was not in the mood, missed the chance! Almost before we leave, asked if they had kids club? And guess what, they did and all this time nobody, suggested or informed us seeing we have kids…we went to check out and it had just closed! I feel the team are not ready for the Iftar event..and though a manager walks around, and many ladies with a tablet at the entrance,...
