Yasmine Palace has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants we have ever visited!

The location on The Pearl is stunning with indoor and outdoor seating available and beautiful twinkling lights everywhere. We chose to dine outdoors as it was a beautiful warm evening in December (being from the UK, this was a real treat!)

We had been craving kunefa whilst on holiday so our hotel concierge recommended we try here and we were so glad that we did.

It took us around 10mins in a taxi to get here from the city centre and once we arrived and saw the opulent restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat!

For such a vast restaurant, the service we received was efficient, professional and friendly. I have to particularly mention our waiters Devakee and Amit who were great. Also, the restaurant manager Wael Hamdan was so warm, welcoming and helpful that I wish all hospitality staff could be this way! Thank you for your kindness- it was very much appreciated.

The food was outstanding and we loved the complimentary appetisers that were brought out to us on a golden serving dish… breads, crackers, vegetables and several different types of hummus- all absolutely delicious and a wonderful way to start our meal and get our tastebuds tingling. We were also given 2 small glasses of fruit juices served in delightful crystal glasses which were very refreshing and a great palate cleanser.

My husband and I opted for several dishes to share including cheese samosas, hummus with meat, moussaka and grilled halloumi - it was all heavenly and we really couldn’t decide which dish we enjoyed the most as it was all fantastic.

We then finished our meal with tea (served on the most lovely golden platter with biscuits) the amazing kunefa which I cannot recommend highly enough and a strawberry milkshake which was again, simply divine!

We were then treated to some live traditional music which was a lovely way to end our special evening here.

Once you have finished your meal I would encourage you to take a wander around the restaurant to discover all of the ornate intricacies that make this place so special. Then walk along the Pearl to take in the lovely scenery and boats bopping around in the marina (some are rather spectacular!)

Please accept our heartfelt thanks to Wael and all of the wonderful team at Yasmine Palace for the most memorable evening. We would not hesitate to return again the next time we...

The food is delicious and the portions are generous, so I encourage you to share. One of us has a gluten allergy and the manager personally took our order and oversaw the staff to be sure that options were made available instead of simply precluding menu items. (Like carrot sticks and cucumber chips to take the place of the delicious pita bread, so hummus and Baba Ghanouj could be eaten. The Classic Tabbouleh salad is made without bulgar wheat, so it is gluten-free and delicious with a light lemony dressing; for westerners, they will offer to add pomegranate molasses to sweeten up the dressing. (I liked it without; my wife like it with molasses.)

Other G-F items that were good: Eggplant Musakaa, and Eggplant Mutabal - which is like Baba Ganouj with yogurt added.

I can also recommend the passion fruit drink, the lentil soup and the Qatari Meat Majbous (lamb shank).

The decor is beautiful and lavish. Plenty of social media photo ops.

Transportation: We arrived by taxi (22 QAR from near DECC). For the return, we walked two blocks to the M110 bus stop, which took us to the Red Line subway station - a 2 QAR ($0.50 USD) trip for both bus & subway. (With the metro card, each bus/subway trip is 2 QAR with a daily maximum of 6 QAR. Even though taxis are affordable, if you are on a budget, save your...

I recently dined at Yasmin Palace near The Pearl in Doha and had a mixed experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is undeniably impressive. The decor and atmosphere truly make you feel as though you’re dining in a castle, adding a unique charm to the evening. Having a life singer boosts this feeling. As for the food, it was a hit-and-miss. The Kubideh was a standout dish — perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting. The chicken soup was also delightful, with a rich and comforting taste. However, the lamb cubes were a letdown, as they were dry and overcooked, making them difficult to enjoy. The lamb chops suffered a similar fate, with an overpowering charcoal taste and not being cooked to the desired medium doneness. The rice was also very dry and had no big taste. Service was somewhat inconsistent, with noticeable delays at times, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, I found the prices to be on the higher side, and given the inconsistency in food quality, it didn’t feel entirely justified. Overall, Yasmin Palace is worth a visit for the ambiance and a couple of standout dishes like the Kubideh and chicken soup. However, there’s room for improvement in food quality and service to match its pricing.
