Firstly I must mention to you that my fiance and I, we like trying new cuisines & flavors, we go out for food at least four times a week and we usually don't pay over 40-45$ per person. I must also declare to you that we don't have strange willing on food. We decided to go to this restaurant as we wanted to eat traditional French stake and we read for this place in trip advisor web site. It is located in Doha, Qatar. It's very easy to find it, and medium - easy to park your car. However there is a choice for you to give your car's keys to the two men standing outside the restaurant and park it there for you. We parked our cars alone and I don't know if this service is free or you have to pay extra.
We reached the place at about 20:00 and as we haven’t made a reservation in advance I had to ask the front desk lady if we should wait to be seated or just pick a table. However the place was not full or I should say not ever half of it...strange and unusual thing for a Saturday night in this country. When you get in, there's a lady (the lead I think) who helps you find or chose a table and a woman holding a "PR" position. So after she said we can chose any table we decided to eat outside spicily the weather was nice outside and in our way to the outside the tables was full only one the customer was about to leave so we walked to the table and while we try to sit-down Mr. Filip was standing on the other side and came toward to us in very rude way said this table is reserved He was not friendly at all and embarrassed us in front of the other customers all the customer start looking to us, he had an unpleasant looking on everyone all the time. At that time I was really frustrated and about to leave the place but my fiancé asked me to stay……………… so just because of her I stayed.
We went inside and I chose a table facing outside tables and the one that we couldn’t take because as Mr. Filip said it’s was reserved. So we placed our order and waited for it. Order came and we start eating... honestly I didn’t like the food, but this is not my point my point is after half an hour we finished our food and guess what….. yes the table still unoccupied!!!!!!!
at that point I was really frustrated so I went to the front desk lady and asked her to give me store Feedback form she said don’t have one so I asked her to call her supervisor or the manager so I can talk to them she said manager is absent at this moment “really Saturday night big restaurant with no Manager”. In very nice way she asked me for the reason why I want to talk to her manager so I started telling her that I really don’t appreciated what Mr. Filip did to us and how disrespectful he was and I think he owe me and my fiancé an apology. She start apologizing and I asked her to check my out. I went back to my table and after couple minutes Mr. Filip came cross our table and I was waiting from his apology but unfortunately he kept ignoring us he kept walking so in his way back I stopped him and asked him for his name. Guess what he asked me why I need his name?????? Really as a Waiter asked customer why need your name. Any way he gave it to my ai same rude face that I really don’t appreciate start spell it to me F.I.L.I.P. This is was my first time visiting Le Relais de l’Entrecote in Qatar I’ve been in Paris and people there are very friendly but here I don’t thing I will go back again.
The service was absolutely disappointing. The waiters had extremely bad mood…so bad that they were not smiling at all the time, they annoying us. In addition they could hardly notice us when we wanted something (water, more food, the bill etc.).
We spend 100 dollars (a little more than 50 per person!) but the price is not comparable to the food and service - too much money. In conclusion the whole experience was not good, I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don't recommend this restaurant, not even to my worst enemy.
In a few words...you should better try McDonalds on the main road...opposite the...
Read moreUpon entering Le Relais de L'Entrecôte, we were met with warm service that set the tone for the evening. The fries were truly a highlight - crisp, golden, and flavorful, leaving us craving for more with every bite.
However, the main event, the meat, left us with mixed feelings. My order of a medium-rare steak came out unmistakably rare. We decided to give them another shot and communicated our issue. The manager, with his commendable effort to rectify the situation, promptly brought out another plate. Much to our disappointment, the second steak mirrored the first in its doneness.
Furthering our surprise was our friend's order of a medium-well steak. Half of it was cooked as requested, but the other half was clearly rare. Such inconsistencies in a single plate was perplexing and not what one would expect from a renowned establishment like this.
While the service and certain aspects of the meal shone, there appeared to be a disconnect in the kitchen regarding cooking temperatures. This oversight certainly impacted our overall experience.
In conclusion, we left with mixed feelings. The warm service and delightful fries were overshadowed by the inconsistency in steak preparation. Hence, our...
Read moreI was recommended to this restaurant by a work colleague who has good taste. Though I’ve never been to this restaurant in France or any other country - I have had delicious French food plenty of times to know good French food when I taste it as I have been to France multiple times. However, our experience here was anything but good. Though the staff was pleasant and attentive - the salad was drenched in dressing so I couldn’t finish it - the steak was swimming in a gravy sauce that didn’t have an appealing color to it. The only 2 menu items we enjoyed was the mojito beverages and the creme brûlée. Although, for being at a French restaurant at dinner time I thought the other diners would have better manners. I could not help but be distracted by a table nearby where all 3 local females were loudly blowing their noses at the dinner table - very distasteful. I would have excused myself to do that in private to be...
