Golden Tulip — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

I stayed at the GOLDEN TULIP Ana Dome for several nights, and I was charmed by how classy this hotel really is. It is conveniently located in a tranquil place and it has been designed and furnished with exquisite attention to detail. |The room was quite lavish I would say, with a king-sized bed that makes you smile just by looking at it, a spacious bathroom, and a lighting system fit for any scenario you might need. The espresso machine and separate office corner were very convenient, as I could get both my rest and my work done, without even the need to leave the room.|The staff was attentive and courteous and handled every request of mine in record time.|The restaurant and hotel bar were more than suitable to invite any partners I wanted to meet in Cluj, which is a big plus, from my part. The variety of dishes available at the restaurant was sufficient, for the duration of my stay. The veal soup is a must, trust me! I am curious if there's a better breakfast in Cluj, I for one doubt it, since one could opt for the full spectrum: healthy, light options, wide variety of fresh fruits and also more savory alternatives (meat and cheese in my case). |I would give this hotel 5 stars for its beyond-reproach services and facilities but especially the kindness and professionalism of the staff, who made my stay truly...

Absolutely unacceptable experience at the restaurant of Golden Tulip Hotel in Cluj. We arrived 15 minutes before the last order, well within the posted hours, only to be met with open hostility from the staff. The waiter threw a tantrum, clearly annoyed by our presence, and even yelled loudly to a colleague in a rude tone about how they’re “closing in 10 minutes.” The cook even came out of the kitchen to glare at us with visible attitude, as if we had done something wrong by showing up before closing time.

Hospitality should be about welcoming guests and not shaming them for coming in near the end of service hours. Even if someone arrives a minute before last call, basic courtesy and professionalism should still apply. Instead, we were treated as an inconvenience. This kind of behavior has no place in a hotel restaurant that claims to offer quality service. Disappointing and embarrassing for what should be a respectable...

Worst stay in an overpriced place yet. It's located in one of the busiest places in Cluj, it's noisy as hell, we went through 3 rooms as they couldn't get the AC working. Outside was 18C and in the room was 27C. There was no way to open the window, the window knob was taken off ... Sheesh, the receptionist gave me one after I complained that the AC is loud and it's not cooling at all. I waited from the checkin which happened at 22:30 until 02:00 AM. When I checked in the room temperature was 24C, when I had enough and went to the receptionist at 2AM it was 27C. The temperature didn't fall, it went up. The staff couldn't figure out what's going on either. The settings were correct on the control unit inside the room Couldn't get 2h of sleep in a night. I would've better stayed in a simple 2* pension than in this overpriced supposedly...
