Please love the love of god, save your money. I know it looks great in the photos but this is not the move.
The rooms were shabby I'm talking about the wallpaper peeling off the walls, everything was extremely outdated, even if they were going for a vintage look most of the furniture was damaged and not kept up, the tv was the biggest let down I brought my streaming device as most places don't support all the apps I like, when I say this was the dumbest "smart tv" I've ever seen. The bed was low to the ground and extremely uncomfortable upon further investigation we realized it was actually a folding bed sitting in the inside of an empty bed frame with a mattress on top of it.
We stayed in the jr suite which was evidently an ex kitchen. There was a tile covered wall with holes and pipes for gas and water that they tried to cover by putting a wardrobe in front of it. The bathroom looked unfinished with uncovered screw holes in the tile here and there, and where they were filled up, the job looked very messy, tiles when not caulked. The faucet for the sink was too small, too close to the edge of the sink. The shower tower was placed too high, if you accidentally turn on the massage jets, they would squirt right in your face ( I'm 1,73m tall). Lots of bugs everywhere and it smelled like a pond or swamp.
(No turn down service).
The staff were friendly, always smiling, and very helpful probably the best part about the stay. They unfortunately are just riding the sinking ship. 3 stars just for the workers. Without them it's a 1.
The food. . . The "continental breakfast" was a slap in the face. A plate of slimy meat and cheese some of which had a weird brown slimy edge, like it was sitting in lunch meat juice and started to turn. The bread was stale, untoasted. Probably seems like I'm being uptight but I will give 5 stars to any place if they just put out cereal or fruit. Coffee was good I will say. But again. I didn't come for the coffee.
Location If you do decide to stay here despite this review. It's right off the beach, what more could you ask for. It would be nicer if the back gate to the beach wasn't dead bolted. Centrally located so you can get most places fairly quickly and cheaply if using bolt or Uber. I recommend you take advantage of the free parking here and use Bolt or Uber because the roads are absolutely riddled with unfinished city projects potholes, exposed manholes, missing segments of roads. Also the lip between the road and the parking spots are pretty extreme if your car rides low do...
Read moreMy whole experience after 5 nights spent there was like the title says, not bad. Not good not superb just not bad. ||Will make this short:||Pro : 1. Location - few meters away from beach ( pretty dirty beach , not hotel's fault ) , you are at the border of Mamaia with Constanta , you will want to visit Constanta, maybe Mamaia too, close to main attractions ( Dolphin house and some wild animals reservation ) , a water park ( which is dodgy btw ) , the aerial tramway ( worth a try )||You will probably want to eat in Constanta too , much better choice of restaurants, prices a lot better, service better than Mamaia . Pretty quiet nights, not much music from local clubs, a plus if you need quiet time.||Rooms - good size , I would guess around 40 square meters, wooden floors, decent AC ||Staff - helpful, welcoming.||||Cons :||Breakfast is very poor. No buffet , if you are in a hurry , you will wait for your ordered eggs, etc. It is very basic ham/cheese/jam/veggies, dodgy coffee. ||Cleanliness is very poor as well, towels with holes and stains from washing machines, bathroom dirty in places, missing shower curtain or wall . Besides the change of towels I got no cleaning in 5 days, if they did any, that was not cleaning in my book.||Pool is very small, not heated. ||No elevator, building with only 3 floors, yet uncomfy with big luggage.||If you leave your windows open you might get a fresh fried fish smell from the restaurant next door, but depends , on how the wind blows :-)||High speed internet connection, even on the beach next to hotel.||||Conclusion : nowhere near the boutique hotel experience, the hotel is a decent 3 stars, not even close to 4 stars standards. Even so if you can get past the cons and you get it a fair price might worth a visit. For me at the high price I paid cause in August is kinda hard to find something in last minute, I'm sure I can find better at that price if I...
Read moreVery good location, right next to the beach. The apartment was large and bright with a terrace overlooking the sea and Lake Tabacarie. Very kind staff.
The biggest problem is the lack of cleanliness and hygiene: dust everywhere, clumps of hair everywhere, dirty shower, a bag of biscuits spilled behind the bedside table and not cleaned, etc The apartment itself needs various repairs: the shower doors are broken, the sink was cracked, the water from the shower drains every time right in the middle of the bathroom, various broken drawers, air conditioning that works below the parameters, etc. The breakfast was sub par, every day we received eggs prepared in a different way (or wurst), with a little cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers. No diversity. Although there is a refrigerator and a small sink in the apartment with many empty cupboards, we had no cutlery at all. I don't understand why they don't also put some cups, plates, cutlery, etc. It doesn't seem like such a...
