Hotel Dorobanti Iasi — Hotel in Iași Metropolitan Area

It probably used to be a decent three stars hotel, back in the days. During our visit we were very disappointed. Blinking lightbulb and hanging wall socket in the corridors, carpet full of dust [probably never washed], old furniture [with a small touch, it could be turned into an epic vintage interior], busted up bathroom [broken/missing towel holders, moldy and broken shower cabin - the doors were partially held by the supports , broken toilet bowl cover, blocked sink - we had to hold part of the sinker for the water to flush], an overall smell of dust and mold [be careful if you have allergy issues]. They told us, they're renovating the place, so things could change. The only plus is the location, perhaps the price of accommodation [they had discounted prices - probably due to the above mentioned renovations] and maybe the staff [kind...

Stayed there for 4 nights and it was nearly perfect. +small fridge in the room, but not the smallest (about 80l) +microwave avon +A/C +cleanliness beyond reproach +no key, no card - access by 5-digits numeric code +obliging personnel no elevator fixed shower head - we've hit this issue before, so we're carrying with us a shower head with hose all the time; this is not an actual issue, we just don't like it soundproofness ok-ish - we could hear when the neighbours typed their room code; on the other hand, the hotel and surroundings are rather quiet the coffee: on one hand, we recommend the coffee from the gas station across the street ... much better; on the other hand ... it would be nice to be free - we get that the breakfast is optional and chargeable, but the coffee/tea should be on the house, especially given...
