Han Gobe — Hotel in Oradea Metropolitan Area

Gobe Csarda (or Pensiunea Gobe) is a nice place, situated some 15mins walk from the city centre of Oradea behind the citadel, and blissfully quiet. ||It has a lovely court yard with tables outside, where home cooked food is served. Dinner was nice enough, but breakfast decisively on the sad side of things: it was the only place we stayed at in Romania where we were given these dreaded little packs of jam and cheesy spread. ||Our room, smallish, but big enough...cosy is the term, was prettily kitted out with wooden carved furniture, local handicraft table cloth and carpets. The bathroom was large if basic (a shower curtain would be a nice addition and a hair dryer for those who can't travel without). Everything was clean and tidy.||The family running the place was friendly and happy to tell about life in Romania (particularly interesting as they are partly of Hungarian origin). Góbé csárda is a nice Hungarian guesthouse in the wonderful city Oradea where I was first time , someone in my town has recommended me this guesthouse. Everything is in Hungarian style which is very impressive. The price was around 25 euro,if I remember well. The room was nice,a bit windy,but if you closed the bathroom window,than it was ok. The breakfast was ok , pretty basic ,but ok. Not too varied menu,but ok. I met one of the owners who was really nice. One of the staff who gave the breakfast was a bit grumpy and she was not very happy that I will leave the room only around 11,30. I have to mention that leaving the room at this place was at 12. I had some work to do in the city without my big rucksack in the morning,so I left my luggage there. We are visited the hotel for business purpouse. Had a contract with the hotel for more people. When we arrived in the evening, the ladytold us in every her sentence, that rhey will gave us “the bill”. In the second day’s morning i asked at the recepcion for the invoice. The lady was nice and made me the invoice, for all the people, without asking me how i want to pay. When she gaves me the invoice i told her thet we will transfer the money trough online banking. That was the piont when she get angry. She was so furious why i didn’t tell her, that i don’twant to pay cash ( cause that’s normal and ordinary).
