Plaza35 Hotel — Hotel in Sibiu

The overall experience was great as this hotel has a very good central location, an underground parking space, very clean and spacious rooms and a helpful staff with a very good knowledge of English. The feeling is not of a classic hotel as this was developed as a block of flats first and then converted to a hotel, so you will not find the usual layout of a large hotel: there is no large lobby with a business center nor a coffee bar or an restaurant; this might sound very appealing in this COVID context! However, each apartment (hotel room) has a small but completely functional kitchen with a fridge, espresso machine, etc. that comes in handy for those lazy mornings. Furniture and interior design are modern and very new, made of high-quality materials and a keen eye to details. The large walk in shower with discreet LED lighting and soft music in the background is a nice touch, just great at the end of a long visiting day in Sibiu! PROS: Large rooms with plenty of space to walk around; Very clean and modern furniture and amenities; Comfy beds with large mattresses; Flat smart TVs with Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime capabilities; Very good WiFi signal across the entire facility with gapless roaming between the floors and lobby. CONS: Nothing that can pass as a dealbreaker!

Some things to consider, for the management: Please provide a badge for the accessing the underground parking space when paying upfront at the desk or specify clearly that the room badge does not also work for the sensor of the garage door; The description “room with a city view” on the website is somehow very vague, as ALL the rooms face a part of the town but only a few face the city itself. We booked a room with this specification in mind but ended up in a room facing the inner yard – the clerk explained that since you can see the city, well, it is a city-facing room, isn`t it? In Sibiu like 1km away from the city center - on the Oituz street - in an apartment building you will find this hotel. ||The parking is in the underground - there you can park your car for like 10 euro/day very friendly price I would say. ||Reception is at the 4th floor - you can take the elevator. ||Rooms from 4th level up - we got the apartment at the 8th floor - last 1 of the building , with a big balcony - and you can smoke on the balcony there is an ashtray. ||To summarize point by point: ||service - reception staff very friendly, reservation was done via web and everything went smooth. Check-in and check-out was very fast. ||rooms - 2 room apartment was what we got - both spacious and both having all necessary amenities - AC , TV, closet, table , etc.- all you need was there. ||In the closet you got the bath robe.||kitchen - available with all the tools of needed if you want to cook - fridge also - coffee machine, all the stuff you need||Bathroom - sparkling clean - loaded with all the amenities required- spacious - with shower booth.||No own restaurant and no breakfast offered - but there are places closeby -and you'll see the reviews for those - to grab a breakfast for instance. ||Wi-fi free and with strong signal at the hotel premises.||And they take credit card. Reception is located on floor 4.. you can park underground (secure key is provided at reception) the hotel has 7 floors and serviced by two lifts. ||We travelled from Bucharest to enjoy Sibiu for the day on our way to Cluj. I chose the plaza for the space it allow a family of 4 who don’t like to share one hotel room. It ticked all the boxes for us and the bonus of a little kitchen with fridge is great. We managed to keep our drinks cool. There is a lavzza coffee pod machine with some pods available in the room cost. There are drinks and snacks in the fridge (extra cost)||Also a table is provided in the lounge with 4 chairs.. ||The apartment provides plenty of space to stretch out with a large double bedroom and the double sofa bed in the large lounge area. I liked that they provide individual duvets on both beds which were extremely comfortable. Flat screen TV in both rooms. No bath but a perfect large shower room.. ||Downstairs there is a Starbucks and a little eatery. We found Starbucks pleasant and if you like a drink in the evening, across the street we went to Joyme a lovely bar and restaurant. ||We will definitely stay here again if...
