Mercure Sighisoara Binderbubi Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Sighișoara

Best hotel I had in Romania! I really loved it and I was sad to leave it. That was also one of the cheapest room I had (incredibly great value for money!!). The room was very very nice, very spacious, beautifully decorated, the staff was very accommodating. I arrived a bit after midnight (I had written beforehand to say that it was possible that my train would come a bit late, and it did) and there was a person to welcome me. Everything went very smoothly, I was so happy to find that beautiful room after all theses hours in the train.

You have everything you need in the room: a kettle with tea and coffee, a large bed, the room is spacious and beautiful, the bathroom is very comfortable and agreeable. All in all, a wonderful hotel! The lobby space is also very comfortable (I loved to stay there a couple of hours during the day, you also have plugs and light). I haven't used the spa area, but I would have if I had the time.

As for the breakfast, do not expect high quality (you have an average quality), but you have plenty of products to choose from. You can have different juices, different hot beverages (there are two coffee machines), different sorts of bread, small croissants, different sorts of cakes, yogurt, different sorts of cereals, different sort of fruits, you can have omelette, eggs and different sorts of cheese and animals.

The breakfast costs 59 lei if you don't have it with your room. I took it and I was glad to. I could have a great meal in the morning and the breakfast room is really nice to be in.

I forgot to mention: the staff is very friendly (all of them!). It was a real pleasure to stay at that hotel. I would without hesitation come again.

Our room heavily smelled like mold. There was a ventilator in the bathroom that would not stop working unless the key card was removed from the slot. During the night it made an unbearable noise so we had to chose between having lights or sleeping through the noise. We tried both: with no lights we bruised ourselves trying to navigate our way to the bathroom in the dark and with the ventilator we kept waking up from the noise. Also, we requested extra pillows as the two existing ones were small and flat and all we could get was 2 more mini pillows. We relayed our dissatisfaction to the reception desk only to be offered apologies. Unfortunately, the apologies, as honest as they were, could not make up for the discomfort. We had a wonderful single-night stay with my family at this charming hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of old Sighisoara. Just a short 10-minute walk brings you to the historic walled city center. We admired the locally inspired décor throughout the facilities and enjoyed the delightful atmosphere of the restaurant. Although our brief stay didn’t allow for an extensive review, our interactions with the staff were positive, and the service was efficient. The rooms were spacious, and the convenience of on-site parking in the hotel yard was a big plus.
