Popasul Haiducilor — Hotel in Sinaia

Close to our hotel and recommended by our Pension for local Romanian food. A light and airy dining area with a lovely view of the green mountains. |There's lots of choice on the menu.. I must admit most things are pretty unfamiliar being British. There was one English version of the menu. |We opted to try Mamaliga as a starter. Unfortunately all the mains and starter came at the same time so we had a mountain of food all at once. The portion sizes are quite large. The starter was particularly huge. It was nice enough but there was such a lot of it and lot of sour cream. We also had 2 grilled trout with sides of local potatoes, mash, grilled veg and sauted mushrooms. The local potatoes were good garlicky with smoked bacon. The grilled veg was also nice and charcoaled. The fish was nicely cooked. Me and my wife just return from this locations, Pensiunea Haiducilor questhouse, from Sinaia. It`s look like we made a very smart choice, begause it is a very nice cozy and modern place. It is very well positioned in the are, for hiking lovers and for people who love peacefull places.||The rooms are very cozy, large and clean. The bathroom are big as well, cu shower and towell and hairdryer included. The furniture in kind of new, and wi-fi signal very good at any level. Also, inside the place and in the restaurant it is very clean and warm.||Now about the restaurant, I will strong recommnad to try it. The menu is quite rich, and the prices pretty amazing.. Just try it and you will agree with me.||As a tips, try the room number 1....

After a long hike we stopped by this place for some food. After an hour of waiting (even though we were the only customers) we asked where our food was. We noticed the waitress and cooks chatting a lot and a few minutes later our food arrived cold and dry. I've honestly never had worse cooked chicken (I don't generally have high standards with food, especially when hungry).
