Lovely restaurant with an interesting choice of meats: deer, boar, bear, pheasant, quail, mangalita pork. Unfortunately when we were there, they didn't have fresh bear meat, only bear salami, which has a really specific flavour. We've ordered hunter's platter, smoked mangalita bacon, sour soup with deer meatballs, mixed grill vanatoresc, pheasant stew, assorted pickles and papanasi. Hunter's platter was amazing, soup and pheasant stew were quite bland. Mangalita bacon is not really bacon, it's salo/speck, so choose it only if you like chewy smoked pork fat. The restaurant served the best papanasi we've had in Romania so far. It'd be better if the restaurant offered freshly baked bread, and not supermarket quality bread. Waiting time is ~30min, the restaurant can get really busy when there is a big group of tourists. The interior is really interesting with taxidermy animals and hunting trophys. You can pay with card. The staff is nice and speaks some English. Would be nice if they played traditional music instead of remixes of...

If you want to try something a bit different than usual traditional dishes (although they do offer them just with slight variants on the types of meat used) or americanized ones this place is great.
From all the dishes we tried we both agreed they were delicious and would come back to try different ones.
Service was also friendly and quick (while this was expected given that we went in the off season it somehow doesn't always happen at other places)
Don't go here expecting fancy cocktails because it's not that type of place and it's not trying to be, they do however, have a pretty large selection of wines.
In most restaurants around here you'll be seeing reviews that each one has great Papanasi (dessert). This place is one of the few that actually lives up to that claim as they were done properly with cheese in the batter and they came out really soft and moist inside. The toppings applied were also enough for...
