Good parts||||The placement of the hotel is about the only good thing about it, it being fairly close to the main attractions in the city.||||Let's say the staff is alright as well, and a plus for the fact that the radiator was always hot.||||Now about the bad parts. ||||The first downside is if you book a room with breakfast included you have to cross the street each morning and eat your breakfast in the big, official Rina Hotel's restaurant.||||The second bad thing about it is that it has a 4 space parking lot for free parking, if you missed a spot there you have to park anywhere else around the hotel. There are 2 paid parking lots, one besides the hotel, and one pertaining to the big Rina hotel, across the road. ||||The third, and for me personally the worst, is the one which literally kept me awake until late at night. Our room was on the first floor right above Ramayana restaurant. The restaurant closed at about 22:00-22:30, but the staff there kept playing loud music up until 00:00. I had tried asking the hotel staff to please do something about it, but that did nothing to change the situation. We ended up leaving a day earlier because I had preferred to make our 6 hour drive leaving in the afternoon, than staying for another stressful night.||||The fourth and last bad thing would be the fact that noise insulation around the windows and doors is practically non existent. We could clearly hear cars going by, people talking on the street and any other sounds not emanating from our room. That applies to the entrance door to the room as well. The door is very thin, and it has a gap between the floor and the ceiling so anyone passing by in the hallway could hear us and the...

• The bathroom is terrible. The shower is not enclosed, water can easily leak outside of it. It is also not suitable for tall people as the shower heads are very short. The toilet doesn't flush properly either. You have to hold the flusher down and do it multiple times to get #2 to go down the toilet fully. There is a very musty scent in the bathroom as well, almost like weird sweet smelling sewage. There is no fan to circulate the air or any windows. It is very small and crammed in there as well. Also! They do not provide you with more than one roll of toilet paper... you have to ask for more at the front desk. Just the worst bathroom.
• The bed was ok, however, you're not provided with more than one pillow and you must go to the supply closet outside of your room to get more pillows or additional blankets.
• Service was alright, not rude or anything, but also not 5 star service (considering what I've said above thus far).
• The windows do not have bug nets on them, so if you open them to air the room out, flies can easily get it. They are also not very soundproof; you can hear lots of traffic and people outside.
• The location is nice. That's basically the one upside. It is situated in a nice central area with lots of restaurants, little shops and a nice park nearby. One thing though, they said we'd have a mountain view, yet the mountain was largely blocked off by trees and another hotel across the street.
Overall, I'd give this hotel 1-2 stars. Definitely 1 star for that horrid bathroom. Only come here if you need one night to sleep...
Read moreI liked this place a lot. Very good value for money, despite the old building, the rooms are clean, fully equipped and besides the room photos provided, some of them are fully carpeted, wall to wall. For an additional 50 RON, guests can use the spa and gym facilities across the street at their sister hotel, Sinaia Hotel. My only suggestion is for the owners to drop the "Rina" branding, just like they did at Sinaia Hotel across. It would be nice to have it as "Cerbul Hotel". It's more local, more authentic ;) Also, the attitude and hospitality of this staff is outstanding. We asked to store our luggage before and after check-in/out and we here helped with a smile. I know that abroad such behaviours of great hospitality are standard practice, but in this part of the continent it's an exception. And gladly welcomed. I could tell the staff is highly trained. They don't have a "no" in their vocabulary. Thank you guys for a great stay. We'll come back...
