Hotel Anna — Hotel in Târgu Jiu

I want to start by appreciating the fact that they had nothing against us bringing our dog to the hotel and didn't charge an extra fee for this. Parking was also free and in a very safe place, right in front of our room's window. ||||We booked an apartment hoping it will look the same as in the photos posted online but unfortunately it was not the case. The apartment we were assigned was just a larger room with the sleeping area separated from the rest by a curtain. The bad was not the most comfortable one in which we slept and there was a lot of noise coming in from the reception area over night (continuous short beeps).||||The bathroom was clean and tidy but was lacking a bathtub - something that was featured in the online pictures. Instead we got a special shower cabin with various features which was nice.||||The staff in the hotel and around it was really nice and helpful so a big plus on this side. The breakfast was extremely good, with various foods and drink plus the possibility to order separate dishes like omelet,...

I booked a single room in this hotel for one night and can say I have not had this bad a service for a very long time...circa the 90s.||The receptionist man in his late 50s is not only stern but also lack a few essentials basics for service such as please, thank you, can you...I mean it s not that hard. Also instead of explaining to me the why they have a policy of having to leave your key at reception when going out, he shouted at me "leave the key" when trying to enquire as to why he pointed out at the door where a stickers says leave the keys. Felt a bit like I was being told off by a guard...who was about to call the police as he shouted a second time "leave the keyyyy".||||The room and hotel for that matter was clean and simple which was fine. But to be honest it s not worth the bad service.
