Hostel Cornel — Hotel in Timișoara

BEDBUGS IN EVERY DORM! I met two different people sleeping in different dorms at this hostel and just like me, they were bitten by bedbugs the same night, proof that there are bed bugs in every dorm and maybe in every bed. We had hundreds of bites. The hostel refused to recognize its lack of cleanliness and to refund me for the nights and all my spendings at the drycleaner's (I am still waiting by the way). Proof of their bad faith (and probably of the fact that they don't care about this problem), they said since I hadn't said it when I was there, they were not responsible anymore... Just so you know, bites can take up to 48 hours to appear so yes my bites appeared the day after my departure... Now that you know that, just avoid this hostel, and enjoy Timisoara elsewhere.

We were on a tour of the Balkans and wanted somewhere for a few hours central while we were in town.

We arrived late and checked out early, if this hostel had any staff, I didn’t see them. Key was in the room. Left it in the room.

Now we booked 2 rooms. My friends room had a desk, a fan, towels. Mines had nothing. No towels. No fan. I’m not sure why the discrepancy between both rooms. Bizarre.

The only thing I’d recommend this hostel for on my experience would be the location. Faultless. If it’s a few euro a night then cool but for the price of a cheap hotel room with the hostel experience, don’t get lazy and rely on the location.

Rooms very hot in the winter, clean, wonderful staff, kitchen available for free, towels available for free, security wardrobe with key available for 13 ron wich they return that money after you give back the key, a bit noise because of the road traffic close the windows but in the night enough low traffic, socket available for each bed, missing a bit of privacy when go to get the shower because no private space before the shower, microwave available, big fridge, rooms very spacious, Profi city market at 200 mt on left side from the exit from the gate and much more.
