A hotel right next to the railway station, a coffee shop and a vaping joint at the heart of St.Petersburg. Polite and cute English speaking staff with cramped up elevators from which I along with my friend recieved electric shocks more than once while swiping our room cards. The corridors leading to our rooms are decorated with colouful carpets. The room was very cramped up for space especially for two people. All the basic amenities were provided with very neat and sanitary rest rooms with handwash from dove. The air conditioning/ heating provided in our room was make grinding noises while switched ON. Also individual switches are not provided for each lighting and if we switched off the entire supply, our mobile phones could not be charged. So we had to sleep with our lights own along with the noise. The intercontinental breakfast buffet provided was delicious. The hotel provided us a room for refresing ourselves even after checking out. The best memory of this hotel for me and my room mate was the song by Canned Heat-On the Road Again, a jazz classic provided in your TV software menu which ran in a continous loop and we really enjoyed that as it...
Read moreThe hotel is very conveniently located to the Moscow train station and to the metro station. Only a few steps by foot and one can deep dive into the exciting life along famous and prestigious Newski Prospect.
However, the hotel itself is average at its best. The standard rooms are clean and pragmatically furnshid, but small. More important, the mattress in my room was very soft causing back pain.
As the hotel is dealing with big amount of tourist groups, waiting time during checking in/out can be significant. It's better to settle things asap and whenever possible.
What wasn't up to expectations, was the quality of breakfast buffet: the pickled herring was impossible to eat. Fried eggs could be well available,..., if you manage to be faster than the crowd. The selection of bread had a manageable amount. Well, it's of course prepared for efficiently pushing through groups, one shouldn't complain. - Anyway, there are hundreds of small cafes around. So, you have the choice.
All things considered it's okay for a night. However, I don't really recommend as a...
Read moreI have not stayed at this hotel but the booking experience was completely nerve wrecking!! I have booked 2 rooms and we needed Visa Support documents to travel to Russia and their reservation team informed me that they issue the documents and receipts so I booked those rooms accordingly. I have been chasing them through emails and phone calls to get the documents needed by the embassy and occasionally when they pick up the phone they say oh the reservation department is off until Tuesday! Oh we cannot issue a payment receipt for you, you can pay when you come!! How is that possible if the payment receipts are needed by the embassy!! They don't even care that we have booked appointments with the embassy! Who has a reservation department that is off for almost a week! Completely unprofessional and not tourist friendly by any means!! I managed to book in Azimut Hotel that issued me everything in under 2 hours and it is way cheaper!! Completely disappointed by the attitude...
